I have been with PayPal for many years. The reason for average stars concerns an activity I never authorized, and this company GDC Media was a scam (I found other complaints about it and I used as evidence), but instead of siding with me, PayPal ruled with said merchant, and refunded me out of goodwill? That made me so angry. I have had a few other issues but it usually is when on the phone to them. Every other dispute re transaction I raised, I did get money back, but sometimes I have had to get my bank fight PayPal. I once trusted PayPal implicitly, but since time, it has eroded especially because a lot of scammers imitating PayPal so one risks losing money because those merchants state you received goods or services even though you may not have e.g. GDC Media - who clearly state on website they do not deal with customers? Don't know how they get people's details), and instead of siding with the customer, PayPal believes the scamming merchant. I no longer try to pay through this system because I am unsure if something goes wrong, whether I will be covered. Once upon a time, I would have been absolutely sure I was safe, not now. I have been told by certain business people to close my PayPal account, but I use it for some limited transactions.

It’s honestly beyond frustrating. As a single father with three kids, I’ve been up for over 30 hours since yesterday morning, and this stress is truly exhausting. The fact that DoorDash and PayPal can take my money instantly but take days to process a refund for their own errors, like the canceled order from Sarah's Kitchen, is unacceptable, especially when other options like Klarna are available. This delay left me with a negative balance, causing immediate financial hardship and preventing me from providing dinner. The mental stress and total lack of accountability, from payment to botched delivery and customer service, is truly unacceptable. At least my kids' dinner was delivered, but that doesn't negate the overall negative impact."
I will never use either PayPal or Venmo again in my life for business or personal!
I have over 700$ in my venmo account and it’s been frozen for weeks and told the “specialist” only works through email and will contact me 3-5 days. 6-7 days later and nothing? I called PayPal because they win venmo and nothing nobody can help? I just want to withdraw my money and close these accounts!!! I will never ever use these services again for anything not a dollar transaction ever! I have a business and you will never make a penny on any transactions best of luck
Managing the credit account is very frustrating. They do not permit balance transfers, making it feel like you are trapped in an endless cycle of payments. There's no option to adjust your debt, and you cannot close the account while there is a balance. It must be cleared first. When I called for assistance, the support team was not helpful at all.
I made a purchase through PayPal from a certain company. I informed PayPal that I had not received about a third of the items and wanted to return another item, as I am entitled to my 28-day statutory rights. PayPal instructed me to file a police report regarding fraudulent activity. After I provided all the evidence of my communications with the company, they closed the case within 24 hours, claiming insufficient evidence, which is appalling since they never requested any proof from me. PayPal continues to ask for more evidence; what else can I give you? AVOID THIS SERVICE!
I urge all employees and management to reconsider using this payment platform. They impose significant fees; charges are applied when payments are made and again when funds are withdrawn, leading to substantial deductions. For instance, my employer sent me $800, but after fees, I received only $701. This is incredibly frustrating.

I find myself trapped in this situation, hoping for a resolution that seems unlikely. All I desire is a way out of this frustrating scenario created by the service.
