I hired the service as a surprise for my wife at our recent wedding, and it was undoubtedly the highlight of the day! She was overjoyed, and our guests were equally enchanted by the unique and creative experience provided. If you're seeking something special for your wedding that creates lasting memories, I highly recommend this service. I requested a canvas of the mountain range where we got engaged, with guests painting trees. I can't wait to see the finished piece; it already looks fantastic! With children having left the nest and only work to occupy my mind I was determined to try new hobbies. Some friends invited me to a workshop with penny and having always said my artistic talents were as good as a 5 year old I knew Penny would have her work cut out for her! To my surprise I left with a decent painting and felt very proud! Fast forward a few months and I now have my own studio at home and still attend Penny's one off workshops to learn new skills. She is a wonderful and patient artist who can even inspire those of us with very little talent! I highly recommend Penny to anyone who is considering a painting class even if, like me, you think you have no artistic talent, you’ll have a lot of fun.
I booked a private paint session with Penny and five friends at my house to celebrate my birthday, and it was absolutely fantastic! The booking process was quick, professional, and completely hassle-free. Penny arrived on time, fully equipped, and had everything beautifully set up before the guests even arrived. It was effortless on my part—Penny truly took care of everything.She was calm, confident, and such a pleasure to be guided by. Penny has an incredible gift, and we were all in awe of her talent. Some of my friends were initially sceptical about their painting abilities, but thanks to Penny’s clear and encouraging guidance, we each created artwork we never thought we were capable of.The evening was not only fun but also deeply relaxing. After a hectic week of work and parenting, it was just what we needed. We were fully engaged, felt a sense of calm, and truly enjoyed every minute of the experience.Penny is a wonderful teacher—clear, approachable, and genuinely endearing. I can’t recommend her and her paint sessions highly enough. We all walked away wanting to do it again!
One of the best decisions we made was to include Penny/The Signature Canvas as part of our wedding day. Our guests loved making their unique contribution, and praised Penny for her kindness and enthusiasm. We also appreciated Penny taking the time to get to know us as a couple prior to our wedding, to help her personalise the creation of the canvas for us. This was a totally new experience of doing something I'd never done before. Pen'Ny had provided all of the materials and everything was explained well.All participants were a little shy and grew in confidence together, all concentrating on producing their own master piece. The brush strokes and techniques were explained, with suggestions for colours and different effects. I think everyone was pleased with their own creation. It was an enjoyable experience.
Penny has a lovely manner and made me feel really comfortable. I have no art experience or talent but I was thrilled with the two pieces of art that I made under her guidance. I loved the setting (Mehgdoots, Petworth) too. Being able to order a drink and some snacks made my evening all the more enjoyable.
A beautiful way to capture our day. Penny created our signature canvas for our wedding in March 2025. We had a consultation with Penny where we discussed the colours and theme of our canvas, she then assisted our guests to make their own mark and create a beautiful canvas that is now hanging up in our living room. Since our wedding, many guests have commented on how much they loved this unique idea and have thoroughly enjoyed pointing out their contribution.
