Review Time
I made reservations to Jamaica for myself and husband
But due to a snow storm the trip was canceled. While looking over the itinerary I noticed we were not sitting together on the flights going or returning.
SO of course we booked the trip again but this time I made sure and asked to please assign seats together I was assured by the agent on the phone we would be sitting together on all flights going and returning.
Long story short we did not have seats together on either flight going to Jamaica nor returning , when I called 3 days before the returning flight to see if they could correct their mistake they wanted to charge us an additional fee I have a knee problem I need wheel chair assistant and my husband to help me.....no sympathy from cheap Caribbean. Com, they were more interested in getting more money. Cleary there were seats together we could of had BUT they were just interested in their business.. ..
Warning to other travelers*** This was my first and LAST trip booked through CheapCarribbean. I realize they can't control the weather, but due to the winter storm Fern, American Airlines notified me that I could change my flights 5 days before my actual travel date. Multiple contacts with their agents resulted in ZERO help. Only "We're sending an email to the resort, once they respond, we'll contact you".
End result, no follow up, not even after the airlines actually cancelled and then moved my flight to a later date. I called the hotel directly and explained that CheapCarribean was waiting for an email from them, the resort front desk told me that was essentially B.S, and that you CheapCaribbean could change it. I then spoke with another of their agents, same response as before "We promise we'll contact you once the hotel responds".
Now, two days after the airlines have changed my flight, they send me an email letting me know my trip is coming up (with the old dates)... Obviously, no one is following up on anything. It looks like we'll just lose days off our trip.
Had I booked directly, I could have modified everything but, since I booked through them, I'm completely dependent on them to make the changes, and on the surface, it appears that they don't seem to be doing anything meaningful.
I also have tried for the last four day to get my airport transportation change sorted through you. On 3 occasions, I have been told that they will send an email to Amstar and then contact me once they have responded. My new flight is tomorrow and no one has contacted me. I contacted Amstar directly and they have no record of communications with cheapcarribean. In other words, their agents are either completely incompetent or simply being dishonest.

The most horrible company ever ! they booked me on a 7 am flight and it took and hour an a half to get to the airport!!! I found out that the flight was cancelled when i got there in the coldest day of a year . No flights in sight They had the audacity to notinform me about the cancellation .I spent 6 or 7 hours trying to reach them ..no reaponse.
They do not tell you the truth about the properties, they lie to get the business. For example, they told me transportation was included I get to Aruba, I was told that’s not the case. The hotel has no elevators , the hotel is like a motel. They said it’s all inclusive and it is not, you have to wait to be shuttled to a restaurant for food.
This is the first time I have ever booked an all inclusive through a third-party company and I will never ever use them again! They changed our flight several times and then a day and a half before we were set to fly out I get a voicemail while at work (I work 12 hour shifts) saying our flight was canceled (I kept the voicemail), I then go to my email and they have an itinerary showing our flight leaving a completely different airport 1 hour and a 1/2 from our original 45 min drive. This caused me to panic thinking all our plans have changed . I called cheap Caribbean as soon as I got home from work and they were closed. I then called American Airlines to verify our booking and our flight was not canceled so that means Cheap Caribbean flat out lied to us! While checking on our booking American Airlines found that one of our passangers birthday was in there wrong and it cost me $438 for them to correct the issue. I went on Cheap Caribbean to check the info I gave them and his birthday was in there correctly. I tried to get a refund from Cheap Caribbean since this was their error when they booked the tickets but they will not take responsibility and refund my money. They said I have to get my refund from American Airlines which is who charged me in the first place. I will never use them again, it was the worst experience I have ever had to deal with, what kind of business flat out lies to you about your flight, screw up a birthdate and refuse to resolve it. Do not use this company, there are many third party apps to choose from out there and next time I will be sure to check the reviews before I use them!
First time using this company, and the last. I bought travel insurance for medical emergencies and had to use it in march for Jamaica. I rebooked for June and it said everything was good using travel credits. We get to the airport they say our ticket was VOIDED. I had to pay out of pocket for my plane tickets and then panicked to get my hotel back. There is no emergency call center opened out of business hours which is insane. They offered to only give me $800 out of $2600 for the plane tickets so I basically wasted tons of money on this horrible website. Do not use it, the only thing that saved my vacation was the resort staff.
The most I've ever paid for a vacation not to enjoy. I'm at 1800 for a place where I cant even swim on the ocean safely. The reviews will say you can swim at the beach. You cannot safely and I'm a good swimmer. I tried ro modify my stay perfectly happy to pay for my time here. The hotel refused to apply any credits or refunds and wanted to charge me full price despite my complaints my only recorse was to pay an additional 2k to go where I knew I would enjoy, after paying almost 2k for a place that was good, just not my jive. I'm staying at the fiesta Americans, which is a good place if you're a pool person, but if you want to stay at a resort where you can actually be in the ocean, this is not the place. The tide is dangerous, the water is cold, and if you want to go to a safe beach you're going to pay heavily. Next year I go back to nassau, where I might pay more but at least I'm happy.
Hotel doesn’t have my reservation, was never able to get a hold of customer service for them so I tried to reach out to Cheap Caribbean but to no avail. Multiple emails unanswered and endless music playing when you call but never could talk to no one. Very frustrating after they took my money they disappeared. NEVER BOOK WITH THEM, RUN FAR AWAY!!!!
I really wanted to love my experience with Cheap Caribbean, but unfortunately, I ran into a major issue that was never properly resolved.I booked a JetBlue flight through their platform and selected specific seats, which were confirmed in my email from Cheap Caribbean. But when I checked in for my flight, JetBlue had no record of those seat selections. At that point, the only seats left were more expensive ones—and I had no choice but to pay for them or risk missing my flight and losing my entire trip.I reached out to Cheap Caribbean immediately. JetBlue confirmed, both in a live chat (which I saved) and in a call with a Cheap Caribbean agent on the line, that the seat confirmation had never been sent by the agency. Still, the only solution I was offered was to wait 24 hours for a supervisor callback—which made no sense since my flight was leaving before then.I never received that callback. Not in 24 hours. Not in 6 days. I had to follow up myself, and even then, I was told there would be no refund or further escalation. I made every effort to resolve this directly and respectfully but was met with a disappointing lack of ownership.I’m not someone who usually posts reviews, but I felt like I had to share this experience. I wouldn’t want another traveler to get stuck in a similar situation—especially when you’re trusting a company to get important trip details right. I hope Cheap Caribbean reconsiders how they handle situations like this in the future.
