I have Pet Assure through my employer When I signed up it indicated that the plan covers 25% of service in network. My dog had a Sunday emergency and my in network vet instructed me to go to the emergency animal care clinic. Pet had emergency surgery and Pet Assure has refused to pay claiming that the care was not a network provider So even though my vet was closed and the directions were to use the emergency vet my claim was denied.Basically an untruth regarding including emergency services and very misleading. If you in network office is closed evenings and weekends you DO NOT have coverage for emergencies so don't be mislead regarding this. Not fair for PetAssure members who are paying premiums for something they don't have....
Worth it!!Gives you 25% discount and can have up to 4 pets on basic plan. Can swap out pets right away if you are on your way to the vets and can have alternate owners so everyone can use it. Found my current vet because they took the Pet Assure plan and pretty happy with them.
...as my rescued pet had a lot of medical conditions. Pet Insurance wasn't even an option for her, as she was already an adult when I got her, so I was thrilled to learn about Pet Assure. There were a number of participating vets in my area and the one I chose is an absolute gem. My dog has since passed away, but Pet Assure came through for me so many times. The vet's practice automatically deducted 25% from every service, product, even food, that they offer, no questions asked. No forms to fill out, completely effortless on my part. Very, very happy with Pet Assure.
I have 6 pets, and one pet needs frequent veterinarian visits. I’m not sure I could afford all the visits without Pet Assure. Discounts are only given for “in house” services..labs sent out are not covered, but Pet Assure is the perfect affordable alternative for me to get good healthcare for my pets with our excellent veterinarian. They are very good about accepting and giving our discount. If I had to pay for pet insurance for all my pets, it would cost a fortune! I’m three years with Pet Assure and have been happy with every year!
I am a senior staff member of a small animal practice. We have a good number of clients who use PetAssure and they are reasonably happy, especially the ones that get it free. I do not understand all the silly folks out there that have not read the details of their membership and who are clueless about the difference between insurance and this product. If you are not a negotiator, consider PetAssure. If you can haggle a bit, think about whether you need it or not. It is inexpensive, even free from some employers, and at that price it is probably worth it.And, for godness' sake, educate yourself about what you buy!
I usually call PetAssure for my payments. It is always an average experience but today, my call with Melissa N. was amazing. She was fast and efficient yet very sweet while handling my information through the call. I have to say that was a 10/10 experience.
This company has articles on its site ("Max's Corner") that discuss Scottish Fold and Teacup Persian cats in a positive way. I feel that it's extremely unethical to breed and sell companion animals which are deformed from birth and cannot function as well as normal cats just because people like having something that's cute and also a status symbol. I'm only giving them 2 stars because they at least mention the terrible health problems such cats have. But their breeding should be highly discouraged by anyone calling themselves a veterinarian.
