My experience for pet insurance with Sainsbury bank was extremely straightforward and easy to do. I just put in everything I required and they met my needs. I found it value for money as well.

2nd year with Sainsbury's pet insurance and never had a claim since owning my dog almost 4 years. My dog had some Pancreatitis and Gut health issues which required an emergency vet visit and some follow up tests. The claims were handled quickly, covered by the insurance without quibble and payments made promptly. Main reason for 4 stars vs 5 was that the online claims form was not very flexible. I had to put in two claims for the emergency vet and my normal vet and the forms treated it as if I had changed vets. Needs improvement to the forms to allow flexibility for emergency / holiday vets vs assuming you have changed vets.

The website makes pet insurance very easy to buy. Lots of information and options. As my dog is nearly 13, it was expensive with hefty excesses. Hopefully I won't need to claim but I trust it will deliver if the need arises. You never know how good insurance is until you make a claim.

It was easy to log the claim online. The Vet I used and sainsbury's communicated with each other. I didn't have any stress. Sainsbury's paid promptly so everyone was happy including my dog when he recovered

Super. Could not be better.

We insured our kittens with Sainsburys years ago. They have been attentive, quick and very kind. They were wonderful when I had to make a claim for our Chinchilla Persian's vet treatment and even sent us a thoughtful sympathy card when he sadly passed away, which was a lovely touch. Everyone we have spoken to have been excellent. Well done Sainsburys and thank you.

Claim form was easy to submit and we had the money in our account before cat was even signed off - much appreciated to Sainsbury's and our vets for swift processing.

Co pay

A complaint has been submitted regarding the co pay at 10 years for cat insurance. I read the terms and conditions, like you are meant to. Its within the phases section, which is very misleading. Not happy at all.
