Asda pharmacy (my local one) is the worst pharmacy or customer service in general i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I have used this pharmacy along with several other family members (including my 2 children) for well over 15 years so I’ve seen a lot of staff come and go. It has went so down hill it’s unbelievable. It’s not just the complete incompetence of the team it’s their attitude towards customers. This is the first bad review I have ever written about anyone. I can assure you I rarely say anything negative about anyone unless it’s absolutely necessary so I’m not a general complainer. Normally I would just move on and let people get on with things BUT I feel like I have to raise this as they’re messing with peoples health here. I’ll not go too far into it but I have a quite serious health condition and I have to without exception take 4 different meds morning and night. If I even miss 1 dose it could be severe. Basically because one of my medication is awkward apparently (Lamotrigine) to get in I was just a hindrance to them and they would be so rude as I was causing them extra work and on 1 occasion they actually said that. I would request the prescription on my patient app, the GP would approve it and send it straight to the pharmacy. It states it could take 24-48 hours to be ready what is normal. I could wait up to 2 weeks and they’ve lied and said they had ordered it then someone else slipped up and said they forgot to order it. They’ve also said that the GP hasn’t sent it so when I rang him to ask him to resend it to them he already had and he wanted to call them to see what was happening rang up. They changed their story but was absolutely furious as I had basically dropped them in it for lying (as if it was my fault). Errors happen but it’s hard to except that when it was every other month. The main pharmacist was probably the bitchiest one and when I called in one time and it wasn’t there I suggested if it would be possible or easier to just order them in anyway they’ll have to order them anyway but it would save me from waiting and panicking as that’s my nominated pharmacy and she went ballistic, actually shouted at me “we can’t stock everyone’s medication”. That’s understandable but if you know you have to order it every 56 days and it’s so hard to get in then surely it would make sense (I’ve now found out that they can and should have done that for me). See I’m not allowed to drive now but most of my family or friends shop in Asda so I can get people to collect it for me otherwise I would have changed a long time ago. I also don’t see why I should when I’ve been using it longer than some of them have been out of nappies. Thats annoying too, I’m 41 and I’ve got some 20 year old upstart treating me like crap because I’m picking up medication. When other people picked it up on occasions they were so nice to them until they said my surname and they would just change and sometimes even walk off and deliberately make them stand 15-30 mins while they “looked” for it. I tried to talk to them twice and try and sort out why they were like that with me and I told them I didn’t know what I did for them to hate me and I just got shrugged shoulders and “don’t have a problem”. I told one lady that I worked in department stores since leaving school so I know you can get some complete DHead customers so I know I’m not one I know how to treat staff as I know what it’s like. In the other side of that though I know how to treat customers too and I’ve been nicer to the DH’s than they were to me and that’s saying something considering I’ve never not treat them nice I’ve even tried to start conversations on things like what’s it like working here and other general chitchat. Honestly they are just awful. They’re just a bunch of nasties standing in the back room talking about people in the queue, you can see from the desk. There is one young lad there and he seems ok but probably scared to go against the clique or they’ll turn on him too. Anyway long story short I missed tablets, had a very bad few days, GP forced a move to a new pharmacy and all is so much easier as they are lush. I know their job is a hell of lot more important than mine at NEXT as they’re dealing with people’s health essentially but surely that means you can still be nice and more importantly do your job right. Tablets are there ready and they can’t understand why they said the Lamotragine tablets were so hard to get hold of as they are so widely used. I haven’t put a complaint in though because I’m not going to be the reason for someone loosing their job still but at least writing this other people can be made aware and wide birth them.
I scheduled a flu vaccination at a local pharmacy for December 13, 2025, at 9 AM. I arrived at 8:55, but the pharmacist was nearly 15 minutes late. I eventually left at 9:17 after being informed that they had no stock available! To make matters worse, I received a call at 2:42 PM notifying me that my appointment had been canceled. I’m giving 1 star because there was no option for none. I really wish I had checked the reviews beforehand.

Booked a private flu jab on 12.12.25 for today at the Fosse Park ASDA. Turned up and they said they had no vaccinations. The woman at the pharmacy was not helpful at all. No communication by text or email at all to say the appointment was cancelled. Waste of a 8 mile round trip.
I booked a flu jab at the Hyson Green, Nottingham Asda pharmacy 13 December 2025 at 9am. I arrived at 8.55. The phamacist was nearly 15 minutes late. I evenually walked away at 9.17 after being told that they had no stock! To make matters worst I received a call a at 14.42 to tell me rhat my appointment had been cancelled! I have given 1 star as no option to leave none. I just wish I had read the reviews before booking.
Booked a flu jab on 16th November for 16th December. They cancelled it on 11th December. The email they sent was really chummy, including comments like “Don’t worry, we’ve taken care of everything” and, if I didn’t want to cancel (which of course I didn’t), “that’s not a problem, although you probably need to rebook it”. No apology or explanation. Worst customer service I can possibly imagine.
Booked a flu jab online but then it was cancelled with no reason provided the next day. The text said to rebook, which I did, only for that to be cancelled. Why would you have lots of appointment availability online only to cancel appointments and mess people around. Seems a marketing strategy to me to offer a service but not fulfil it!
