My partner lost her mobile phone and was panicking. To try to help I googled "find lost phone". Amongst several offers of help was one from PhoneTracker.pro. It appeared to offer to trace a lost phone for 50p. Without checking their terms too closely, I authorised a payment of 50p on my credit card. They did not locate the phone, which actually was recovered a few hours later. I was shocked to find another payment of £29.95 to PIX*Phonetracker London GBR the next day which I had not specifically authorised. I have now closed my account with Phonetracker but will watching closely for any further unauthorised payments to them.
This organisation is a shower of thieving (Bleeps). You need a 0 star or even Negative star score for organisations like these total scumbags. Like others here I paid my 50p and authorised NO other payments. I didn't notice the second payment going out and they got three months out of me before I did. I contacted my debit card provider and they put me through to their Fraud dept. who have put a block on further payments and will try to recover the money, but I am not hopeful. Just hope this saves someone else from getting caught.
DO NOT USE!Doesn’t work and over charges. Paid the advertised fee of 50p for 24hr access to the service - which didn’t work anyway!Then they charged me the full monthly subscription even although that was listed as a separate option. Total Scam. When I saw the charges on my bank balance I tried to contact them to find out what happened. And to cancel and hopefully get my money back. I have tried multiple times to call. Each time I’ve been on hold for about 5 minutes then a recorded message states they are very busy and I’ll need to leave a message and they’ll call me back. The next message (each time) then says the mailbox is full so I can’t leave a messageWould give 0 stars if that was an option!
I wish I could NOT star this company, they are a disgraceful company. I was desperately trying to locate a relative who was experiencing an medical emergency, but because they needed to consent to being tracked and couldn't (due to mental incapacity at the time) I declined their services, to later discovered that I too have been illegally signed up to this companies PhoneTracker Pro services. Customer services is a joke, and after weeks I get a reply and no refund. I have now passed this onto my bank's fraud department.
