I truly enjoyed immersing myself in Ghanaian culture as well as experiencing my day to day life in a country new to me. I valued the little things during my experience, such as the food, the sights, and even my commute to and from work; but more significant to me were the everyday conversations with my host family, my project coordinator, my colleagues at my placement, and even people I met on a day to day basis. My host family was very welcoming and always interested to learn about my life and story, and likewise share their experiences too. My project coordinator was also so supportive during my time in Accra, but additionally was a true friend to me in Ghana. I additionally appreciated engaging in insightful conversations about a wide range of topics and perspectives with various people in Ghana, which are interactions I wouldn't have gotten the chance to experience and learn from if not for Project Abroad's promotion of immersion in your host country. There's so much to learn and take home with you through such volunteering experiences around the world!

I had an amazing time in Ghana, both on and outside of the volunteer activities. The Ghana team of Projects Abroad was so caring that I was assured that I had people to contact if anything happened. I appreciated their hearts and efforts to make my time in Ghana a fulfilling one. The connections with the people that I got during this program will grow to be my treasure. The people in the city of Accra were also nice and friendly, and I enjoyed the solo trips between the home and the office using public transportation.

This trip was the most amazing! Cambodia is a beautiful country filled with kind people and has had a tragic past. It was life-changing to experience everything the country has to offer. Our guide, Khouch, was more than helpful, he went above and beyond in every aspect of our time in country to make sure we were safe and satisfied, he was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to challenge themselves to learn all of the good and bad about the country of Cambodia.
This trip was beyond anything I expected. I have been to over 21 countries both on my own as a solo traveler and with tour companies. This will rank #3. You should be extremely proud of Ken Khouch, his guidance, his knowledge of history, his character and personality are what we call in the United States "The Gold Standard " meaning the BEST.
