The programs were perfectly fine and very detailed. I was satisfied with the program😁 Most thing I’m satisfied is that I had a chance to see an operations. But I was a little surprised that they didn’t have their own country Projects Abroad T-shirt to give to the volunteers. Last year when went to Tanzania, they gave me a T-shirt. It was one of my memorable shirts! I wish for the next year, they going to give the volunteers ☺️THANK YOU PROJECTS ABROAD 😊
My experience on this trip was amazing. The accommodation was well maintained and clean, and the staff were attentive and communicative. The volunteer work we did directly impacted the cause which made the trip both educational, fun, and rewarding.
The volunteers helping us were really friendly and nice. they answered any questions we had and made sure that everything was doing okay and that moment. If there was a problem in someone’s room they would be there right away and I found that really great. I’m grateful for all the volunteers from Projects Abroad that have been helping me throughout my journey of my medical placement in Nepal!!
I went with Projects Abroad to Sri Lanka. When I arrived at the airport there was no-one waiting to pick me up, I had to phone the emergency number to find out what was going on. The information given to me about the family and project was mostly incorrect, which I found out gradually as I went through my stay. I felt that the project I was assigned to threw me in at the deep end with no support, I did have someone to phone for help but I wasn’t really checked on by anyone to see if I was okay, the project co-ordinator only visited the school 3 times whilst I was there, once was to talk to me and have a cup of tea, once he popped his head in the classroom and took a photo and the last time was when I wanted to donate books to the school. I wouldn’t travel with Projects Abroad again.
