We just completed our 6th pilgrimage over 8 years with the Puma Adventure family in February 2026. Again it was an outstanding experience over our 12 day retreat and 3 days up at apu Ausangate. It was a big group we brought this time but the Puma team were prepared for everything and it went flawlessly. Our primary guides of Alfredo, Miguel, and Magally did an amazing job picking us up everyday at the retreat centre and guiding our crew through all the beautiful sites of the Sacred Valley and up into the mountains. Always supported by the kind friendly drivers and the support team of Rebellino, Puma and Jimmy. Always a joy to partner with this beautiful family and know that we are in goods hands as were journey through Peru.
This was my second trip to visit Peru with Pumadventures and I highly recommend this fantastic group of people. The travel adventure is a perfect mix of experiencing the magical sites Peru has to offer, the guides are very knowledgeable, and each daily excursion offers exquisite and authentic shopping (supporting small business), as well as glorious meals. Shaman Puma and his family also offer a humbling and truly touching insight into their traditions and how to live in ceremony every day. This trip and visit to Peru will change your life!
Our trip with PumaAdventures exceeded our expectations in every way. Puma and his excellent team took us on an amazing journey of ancestral knowledge, sacred sites, local customs, and spiritual guidance, in a deep and meaningful way that we would have never managed to accomplish on our own. He and his team are professional, organized, and efficient, but also kind, compassionate, generous, open-hearted and living lives of teaching and service. We have just returned and are already looking at options for another experience with them. This trip is an extraordinary experience. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Do it for yourself!
What an incredible experience! I researched many companies looking for the one that felt right for my Andean Spiritual Healing Ceremony to honor both my Mom & 2 sisters who have passed away. From the very beginning, Puma Adventures were very responsive & patient to ALL my many questions via email. Once in Peru, they arrived to pick me up at my hotel (extra fee) right on time. It was a 50 minute drive from Cusco to Chinchero. Master Jimmi & Magaly were very supportive & explained things very clearly to me. I had an opportunity during the ceremony to read my intent letter, prayer and special letter to my mom and siblings. This was then placed into the Despacho. I really loved how they held space for me.I also brought a picture of the 3 of them to place in the Despacho. I also brought pieces of jewelry that belonged to them that was just placed on the altar, but I collected afterwards. Magaly was exceptional at translating what Master Jimmi was saying. It was an extremely powerful ceremony to me and I am forever grateful to both of them. Although I researched quite a bit about what to expect, I did not know some of the significant meanings in the ceremony, such as what the color of the flame indicated, how fast the Despacho burns vs how slow, etc. My only suggestion that might help someone else would be to possibly have Magali offer the information of what everything means during the ceremony while each thing is happening. I asked some questions during the ceremony and then used chat gpt afterwards to fill in the gaps … which I would have loved to have known some of the significance during it. Just an idea. All in all this was EXACTLY what I needed and I am so very happy that I put my trust in both of them to make my experience incredibly meaningful to me. Thank you Master Jimmi & Magaly, you will forever be remembered!!!!
A truly magical journey with Puma and his family, full of ancient wisdom love and generosity. All the trips we took were thoughtfully organized and Alfredo and Magadaly were shared their vast knowledge of their lineage with love. This was the best retreat I've attended in Peru. Having been here before with other tour companies Puma Adventures created the most beautiful plant medicine, Andean wisdom teachings & sacred sites tour for our group. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
