I visited Ramsden on 25/02/26 with some gold pieces I wanted to get rid of. The guy weighed the gold. Told me I would get £623 for 37gms. I found that to be shocking! Went on Hatton Gardens online and visited a couple other shops, all the quotes I received was well over £1000. Be fair with people! As a business place people should be able to trust you. I believe his name is Chris.

Ramsdens Northeast, do not sell your scrap gold to these people. 2nd Feb 26 they are offering £44 per gram for 18ct whilst onlne you can get at least £69. I understand businesses need to make a profit, but this is just taking the piss out of people.
Went in to enquire about selling Gold! Was told, they are only allowed to buy at £30 per gram. For context, the spot price at the time of asking is £105 per gram.I honestly felt insulted - they were offering me almost 4 times less than spot price.Surely this can't be allowed? I just thought about all the desperate people who would be going in for quotes!
