Patient and responsive

Our experience with Range has been very positive. They’re patient and responsive, and provide great peace of mind when questions come up or entertaining what-if scenarios. You’re paying for human advice, not AI, so we’re completely ignoring “Range AI” as an offering (not sure why someone would choose to ask AI for a potentially wrong answer, instead of just asking a licensed advisor you’re already paying for, but I guess everyone is trying to figure out how to leverage AI these days)

Consolidated platform + professional support

The biggest value I get from range is the organization of all my accounts, and having access to professionals that can give advice based on my specific situation. The platform is easy to work with if you have accounts that are able to maintain live connections. Human advice is most valuable and has been useful. The AI tools are generally helpful but not sufficient so glad they still have people to work with as well. I'll revisit this review if that changes, but for now, it's working great

I've been really happy with how Range has guided me through a host of challenges my growing family is facing, including getting life insurance, buying a house, getting home owners insurance, and saving for college. Highly recommended!

Has been an excellent first 9 months working with range as an all in one wealth management, tax planning, and financial consultant support. I was reluctant to get a CFP for years and I so regret not doing this sooner.

Paid $5k for the membership

Paid $5k for the membership, but regrest it.(1) The web app is incredibly buggy, or slow, if its working at all.(2) The annalysis the application provides is superficial at best, but worse its usually wrong. Range.AI (its beta, but still) is comically wrong in its advice/analysis.(3) I had my onboarding call, and weeks have gone by without an analysis, plan or contact by an advisor.

Terrible as a fiduciary and tax planner

Range seems convenient. They watch all things financially for you. They have a nice dashboard that connects it all. That's where it stops. There financial advisory team is terrible. I've lost more money due to there lack of guidance. They are supposed to be a fiduciary - I haven't heard from an advisor in over 8 months and this is all with the current tariff market volatility. On the tax side they are even worse. They advised me on setting up an LLC and the instructions were completely wrong. This February they did a preliminary review of my taxes. I was glad to see I was getting a significant refund. When they finally completed my taxes, we discovered they'd made a mistake and it reduced my refund by $40k! They owned up to making the mistake, but not once did anyone reach out or offer an apology. Tax planning was the top reason I signed up and they couldn't even get estimates correct.

As a tech professional with a growing…

As a tech professional with a growing income, I found myself at a turning point. I had multiple income streams, a couple of properties, and a mix of investments, but keeping track of everything—from cash flow to tax implications across multiple K-1s and business interests—was becoming overwhelming.Like many of my peers, I considered myself financially savvy. I had tried robo-advisors, self-service tools, and traditional wealth managers, but none provided the holistic, proactive approach I needed. Self-service tools required endless research and still left gaps, while traditional advisors followed the same outdated playbook: collect fees, allocate to a basic portfolio, and check in once a year. What initially drew me to Range was their tax optimization strategy, but what I found was something far more valuable. From day one, my advisor took the time to truly understand my financial goals, lifestyle, and long-term vision before recommending anything. Instead of a cookie-cutter financial plan, I got a personalized strategy tailored to my situation. Why Range Stands Out✅ 24/7 Access to a Team of Advisors – I can message them any time and get thoughtful, personalized responses within 24 hours. It’s like having a financially savvy friend who actually knows my complete financial picture.✅ Flat-Fee, Transparent Pricing – No AUM fees or commissions. Just a clear, straightforward pricing model that actually makes sense.✅ Proactive Tax & Estate Planning – They’ve helped me optimize my tax strategy, explore real estate investing, and plan for intergenerational wealth—something I wasn’t getting from other advisors.✅ A Platform That Works – Unlike traditional advisors, Range’s platform gives me a real-time, holistic view of my finances while still allowing for high-touch, human guidance.✅ Comprehensive Financial Strategy – Instead of just reacting to immediate needs, I now have a proactive, long-term financial plan that includes investments, cashflow, estate planning, and risk management. The Value & ROI💰 Worth every penny. The tax strategy alone covered the cost of membership, but the peace of mind, clarity, and confidence in my financial future have been truly invaluable.Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just looking for financial advice—I needed a true partner who could help simplify and optimize my increasingly complex financial life. Range has become that partner, giving me both the tools and expertise to feel completely in control of my financial future.Highly recommend Range for professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone with complex finances who wants more than just a generic investment portfolio.

The Total Personal Finance Solution

Range has been a welcome addition to our financial planning. As I have no formal financial education, we sought professional help once our net worth exceeded $500,000. We specifically wanted a flat, predictable, and transparent fee for a financial team with no conflicts of interest or long term commitments. Range proved to be just that. Range provided advice to immediately increase investment allocation efficiency within our IRAs and 401(k)s. They also advised on debt payoff and savings account strategies. We quickly set up brokerage accounts through their partner custodian, Altruist. Despite its user interface simplicity, Altruist has proved functional and efficient, with accounts set up and transfers initiated the same day. Range’s managed brokerage account, Individual Retirement Account, and High Yield cash account that rivals most high-yield savings accounts are attractive for long-term investing. From an efficiency standpoint, Range helped us identify areas of over-insurance, saving us unnecessary premiums, and advised on areas where more insurance was needed to protect our financial future. Range’s financial data aggregator has totally changed our financial management. Previously, we used Mint.com and a spreadsheet, but Range’s user-friendly interface connects with every financial institution, providing a comprehensive view of our finances in real time. Budgeting, cash planning, and transaction management tools are invaluable. I’ve even identified fraudulent transactions before my financial institution flagged them.Range also offers expert financial advice. They’ve guided us in purchasing a second property, a new vehicle, cryptocurrency, and private equity funds. The team provides considerations to help us make informed decisions. However, Range’s service isn’t for those seeking a completely hands-off approach. It’s a collaborative space where clients are involved in education, decision-making, and executing their financial future.Range’s comprehensive service has grown with our financial complexity over the past two years. We recently upgraded to the Platinum service for strategic tax planning, filing, and trust/wills setup. My wife and I highly recommend Range based on our experience since June 2023 and will continue as happy customers for the foreseeable future.

Pretty good. Worth the $$

We had a finance guy for about 8 years prior to finding Range. Although our portfolio flourished under his guidance, so did his pockets. Range’s subscription cost for a year is the equivalent of half of what he charged us in one of our accounts in a quarter… It was a no-brainer. We’re pretty risk averse and hands off investors. We know enough to understand that we’re in a good spot to stay the course, but truly could not be bothered to actively manage our portfolio. It’s nice to just email someone anytime we had questions and with their dashboards, we can really see everything in one place. Oh yeah and our Accountant retired so we signed up for their tax plan as well. Docking off a star because I don’t know if I’m still working with the same guy or some random member of the team. We are 6 months in and honestly it works for us.
