Range is building the next-generation wealth management solution! I've been using Range since January 2024 and have been blown away by how great the product is and the service I receive on issues related to tax, estate planning, budgeting, investments, and more. In ten years, Range will undoubtedly be a household name, toppling the giants of today.I look forward to this journey and helping them build the future of wealth management.
Great concept great sales pitch. The thing you sign up poof they’re gone no contact during the initial stages. I made it clear that I wanted some guidance before the end of the year for tax purposes. Finally said that I was clear for a call. Go to scheduleand I can’t get an advisor until. And I can’t get an advisor until after the new year. Wouldn’t be so bad but I signed up on November 30. They contacted me and said I’m ready for a call but again I can’t schedule one until next year.
You are getting a computer system to help with tax strategy, too expensive, can't get anyone on the phone. Doesn't seem much different than filing your taxes with TurboTax for a lot less. if you want an area to manage all of your money Monarch Money is good and only like $10 a month.
They are good at selling subscriptions, and if they delivered everything they say they would it would be a good deal, but they are very slow to respond as such it is impossible to capture the value they sell, it almost feels like they are stringing you along to keep you subscribed but never delivering the full value of what they sell. I already have a full time job, I don't need the hassle of chasing my financial advisor who is paid up front.
Before I signed up I spoke with the salesman and explained that I didn't have a typical W-2 job and so my financial situation was a bit more complicated. I sent him my last two years tax returns which he forwarded to his tax team, and they assured me they could find savings. I signed up and it was over a month before I could set up a call. However, that call was just another sales call and nothing substantive was discussed. Finally, I was able to schedule a 30 minute session with a cpa to go over my docs. The call lasted about 2 minutes and it was clear this guy either didn't know what to do or there was nothing he could do for me. From certain things he said, I don't think he had actually reviewed the docs I sent. The day after the call that lasted just two minutes, I got an email saying they needed more docs even though I confirmed with the CPA that they had all the docs they needed. They didn't even specify what docs they were asking for. Despite marketing themselves as providing "customized" financial and tax planning, Range is set up to provide off the shelf advice. That might be helpful for people who have traditional situations, but then again, those people could probably get that advice with a very small amount of research.
Pylon is amazing to use! It was easy to setup and connect my accounts, and provided a ton of useful tools to see all my investments and money management in one place. I also love the cash flow projections to help me plan out my futureI previously used tools like Intuit Mint and Wealthfront but the UI and feature bloat was a bit too much. Pylon is much cleaner and easier to use!
