Review Time
I went to the Red Lobster on Cumberland in Norridge Ill this afternoon around 3:00 pm. When I got there the guy told me to sit at a booth that was next to a family with a bunch of kids. There were lots of empty booths. I was not about to sit next to a table with a couple of families who had a bunch of loud kids. I'm not their babysitter grandma. The parents were very nice they told the kids to be quiet when they saw me get up and move. I got up and sat in another booth. Then I told the waiter I wanted to order the shrimp Linguini Alfredo and some Grilled Shrimp Skewer. I know what Linguini Alfredo is. I've had it many times. It's PASTA with sauce. He actually brought me shrimp WITH RICE. I asked him what this is? He said it was shrimp Linguini Alfredo with rice underneath. I never heard a waiter describe shrimp linguine alfredo as having rice underneath with NO PASTA. He either did it on purpose, he might be very DUMB, or he just didn't want to admit he brough me the WRONG ORDER.
While the fried flounder was enjoyable, I was surprised to find limited options for baked or broiled fish. The previously available choices are now missing, which was disappointing. The crab stuffed mushrooms weren't worth the price, either.
My server was exceptional. During my visit, they were friendly and professional, greeting me with a smile and asking about my seating preference. They provided clear explanations of the menu and were very attentive. Throughout my meal, they checked in to ensure I had everything I needed and was enjoying the food. Both the food and service were excellent. I truly appreciated it. Thanks for a great experience!
This was an awful experience! My partner and I visited a location to unwind after a tough week. Unfortunately, the dish served was ice cold and made me extremely ill. I had to rush to the restroom due to the food. We reported this to management, who removed our meals, but we still ended up with a hefty bill. This marks the second time our food has been inedible. Once a favorite, the quality has drastically declined, and we are heartbroken after so many years. We will likely not return, as we need to find better dining options. Truly disheartened.
