Disappointing visit to the shop

As members, we visited the shop and were shocked to find it had changed significantly. There were no cash transactions, only limited items available, and we faced unexpected parking charges. We left our details but were frustrated by the lack of information and communication. We’re considering canceling our membership.

Order issues with bird food

I ordered bird food but they couldn't deliver or provide a date for delivery. I canceled the order and received email confirmation, but I still haven't received my refund. They've stopped responding to my emails. This experience has been frustrating and I would not recommend this service.

Disappointed with Delivery and Customer Service Experience

I’m really disappointed with my recent order from the RSPB online shop. I paid extra for next working day delivery, expecting my parcel to arrive on a Tuesday. While the order was dispatched promptly and I received a 2-hour delivery window from the courier (DX Express), the delivery never happened. We were home all day, but no one came. Later, I received an email saying they had missed us and left a calling card—there was no card, and the driver had clearly not been anywhere near our property. This exact scenario repeated itself the following day. I tracked the driver on the map both times, and they were nowhere near us when they claimed to have attempted delivery. I contacted RSPB customer service and spoke to a representative who confirmed that the courier had submitted two photos of a property that was not ours. She assured me the delivery would be rearranged and that I would be refunded the extra delivery charge. However, I then received an email from DX asking me to reschedule the delivery myself. I chose Thursday, but again, no delivery. DX later confirmed via chat that they wouldn’t deliver until Friday. I finally received my order on Friday, four working days after placing it.So far, I’ve had no confirmation of the promised refund. I understand RSPB is a charity, and perhaps they rely on customers not chasing refunds, but this experience has put me off shopping with them again. It’s a shame, as I support their mission, but the service was simply not acceptable.

Interesting reading these reviews

Interesting reading these reviews. I was thinking of joining the birdwatch but then I asked why there wants info on how well birds are doing. When our skies are being constantly sprayed blocking out the sun and spraying heavy metal killing flies butterfly and bee's my only thoughts is they are Interesting in seeing how many birds are depleting thanks to their spraying. I won't be joining I'll just be feeding and taking care of my birds my way.

Closure of Rainham Marshes.…

The RSPB have to be one of the UKs worst run charities. Far from protecting the birds 10%of profits go to tiger conservation whilst their “non-politics” stance means they do nothing about the millions of migratory birds killed in France, Italy, Malta or Egypt. They have zero concern for their members - as their recent decision to close RSPB Rainham Marshes (first the shop then the community cafe and soon the actual reserve) as well as RSPB Rye Meads. It is truly shocking that a charity, with millions of pounds in profit, can close key reserves near London, shows no consideration for its members and therefore has very little interest in nature conservation. This is a terrible shame for which poor management must be held responsible

Not impressed

Been a member for a while, happy to pay a direct debit and get the magazine. Dont like them using a third party marketing company to phone and push for increased monthy contribution. Shabby. Cancelled my Subsciption. Don't like people releasing my name and number.
