Inconsistent door functionality

This frustrating door often traps them inside in the morning and remains open at night. It closes too early on them, making it very unpredictable. It requires being almost an inch away to open with a phone. Overall, it's not dependable at all. We've only had it for about six months.

We recently bought and installed a door…

We recently bought and installed a door to help keep our chickens safe. We had something get into our coop (it's fenced off and pretty well protected but something still got in) and we've been quite desperate to do what we can do to kepe them safe. We installed this door and it's been doing a great job of keeping the chickens extra safe overnight. Customer services was amazing at getting back to us when we had an issue that turned out to be an installation error on my part. Highly recomend this product!

Run-chicken - no returns allowed

Run-chicken products are fine and functional. But that's not uncommon. What is more important is if you ever need to return anything, good luck. They have a list of policies that are clearly designed to protect them from all their unscrupulous customers. I spent enough time trying to return an unopened door that I just gave up. For $100 my time is way more valuable. I suggest at the very least, purchase through Amazon who will take returns easily. Even better, find a company that is customer-centric and doesnt create barriers to a very simple ask. Their customer service is friendly but absolutely useless. I teach customer centric strategy in corporate America and now I have yet another example of what it is NOT. At least I got something for my $100.

How is this better!?!?

I hate having to download an app, set up an account, make a PW, all to just open the door manually instead of opening it by pushing a button. If I don't bring my phone out then I have to change out of barn boots to go inside to find it. Who thought this was an improvement?!?!

Lots of back office issues, good customer service.

You had sold out of the product I wanted, but your site didn’t have this information. I was able to change colors, when they sent the receipt for the amount being refunded, the amount in the email was incorrect. Turns out the correct amount was refunded, but the email was incorrect. I ordered from you guys specifically for the color, so your website not having updated information was a BIG disappointment. Customer service was great though!! Thus why score isn’t lower.

Good but wish there was a button too

I think the product was well made and easy to install. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because I would like in addition to the blue tooth app function to also have a button on the door to be able to manually push to open and close the door. It’s annoying that if I forget my phone inside that I can’t just push a button to operate the door and override my settings if needed.

Nice Product

The door works as advertised, and I love having the solar panel connected to aid in battery charging. Would recommend to other chicken enthusiasts.
