Sizing chart!
I am 5'6 @ 210 pounds I wear a LG/sometimes XL shirt. My waist size is 36-38 and the size chart says I should order an XL-s well here are my finding as I now have an XL-s, XXL regular, and XXXL-s vest carriers.
The XL-s is about 3-4 inches above my belly button and @ 3 inches too small from a full wrap-around coverage.
The XXL regular fits great on the front panel but still too short on the sides for full coverage and the back panel is too tall @ 2-3 inches taller than I need.
the XXXL-S is almost perfect it too is {in my opinion} too short by about an inch, the sides are a perfect fit as the panels give full coverage and butt-up to each other. the back panel fits great too.
So, the sizing chart your company suggests is off by a few inches/body types.
I am stocky, not too fat. as the size chart says that a XXXL-s should fit a person 5'6 @ 240 pounds......NOPE! I want to submit some pics but dont see a way to do it.
I am extremely disappointed with Safe Life Defense and how they handled my order.
I ordered a vest carrier on 2/2 and made my purchase based on the shipping and processing time clearly stated on their website. That policy was not honored. My order sat without being shipped, with no meaningful update and no proactive communication from the company.
When you sell safety equipment and charge premium prices, you are expected to operate with professional, reliable fulfillment. Failing to follow your own published shipping policy is misleading and unacceptable—especially for customers who may be purchasing this equipment for work or duty use.
If your company cannot meet the shipping time you advertise, then your policy should be updated to reflect reality. Customers should not have to chase down basic order information after trusting what your website promises.
At this point, I do not recommend Safe Life Defense based on their lack of accountability and failure to honor their own shipping terms.
I emailed regarding returning my vest cause it does not fit properly,the button came off after one day of wear,and I had scratches on my arm & neck from the velcro. I was told I needed to send photos..of what..my scratches! Not happy with purchase or service..wont be recommending to coworkers.
First I bought the level 3A+ which was so thick and bulky I couldn't button my duty shirt. This isn't the best concealed body armor, I am sure it is fine in a carrier. Sent back no issue. Then purchased the Hyperline. After 18 years wearing vests this is my favorite one and I have had some Gucci vests. The hyperline molds to your body and fits perfect every time. I also picked up the add in side covers. In the winter with extra layers I don't like a split in the side if my armor. With just a t shirt on I get overlap. Definitely worth the price.
The side velcro panels are excessively long for someone with a smaller waist. Despite buying a medium carrier, I had to get the side panels altered for a better fit. This modification was quite costly. It would be beneficial if the side panels could be made adjustable in length.
