According to the size guide provided - the armor fits just right and it’s very light weight and easily concealable. I wish it was a little longer though to provide more protection below the bellow button. Additionally, it took over a month to receive my order. I received no communication regarding this and had to contact safe line directly to find this out. The lv 4 back pack plate is perfectly sized and super light weight. I’m happy with my purchase and give the overall review a 4 out of 5.
The plates are well made. But they are pretty thick at almost an inch thick and almost 5 pounds heavy. It would not fit in my Point Blank outer carrier and it was returned. The return process was easy, but I lost $33 due to shipping and "Product Protection"(aka insurance you have to pay for or they won't cover loss or damage in shipping). I ended up finding a PE plate for over half the price and weight elsewhere.
The belt looks nice and the fact you don’t need belt keepers is great. However it is Incredibly difficult to maneuver the belt with the cobra buckle to adjust the belt to get the right size and is not comfortable to wear for a full shift. Wish I could get my money back honestly.
There was an issue with the size of my armor, because it is from a different company. But I was contacted and told to just draw and outline of the Kevlar and send it in to them, a few days later I received and email saying the found a vest carrier for me.
The FRAS backpack armor is very strong and effective, but I do wish there was a larger version than the 11"X14" size. This would allow for greater coverage in a larger backpack, which could be used in place of a vest. Overall, being able to buy rifle-rated armor is outstanding!
