I used Schweser for my CFA Level 1 preparation, and this is my second time relying on Kaplan for a professional exam. Previously, I used the material for both levels of FRM preparation, and I opted to continue with the provider for CFA because I was genuinely impressed by how complex topics were broken down into easily digestible concepts. For professionals in corporate roles with demanding schedules, this is a plus!For CFA Level 1, the extensive question bank, checkpoint exams, and realistic mock exams were all invaluable resources. Most importantly, the ability to compare my test results with those of other candidates provided meaningful guidance on my performance and helped me identify areas for improvement and accurately assess my readiness for the actual exam. The instructional videos also offered practical tips and tricks, especially for using the financial calculator efficiently, which proved to be a significant advantage.
In terms of the academic side and the teachers’ professionalism, the experience was very good. However, the customer service is terrible — they are rude, take an eternity to answer your questions, and often don’t even respond at all. I ended up feeling extremely disappointed with everything that happened.I finished my course and wanted to know how I did on the written and speaking parts of the exam, which were supposedly graded by the teacher, but they never replied. Honestly, I didn’t want to keep sending emails because I truly believed I wouldn’t get any results.It’s a shame, because for an online course the price is not cheap, yet the service provided by the staff is really disrespectful — from the lower-level advisors to the higher-level ones, like William Albet. I hope things improve in the future and that my case doesn’t happen again, as I spoke with my classmates and we all agreed on the same thing.
The content covering challenging topics is nearly unintelligible with no connections made between the exam questions and what is presented in the study material. You will rely entirely on YouTube and google to actually learn the concepts. The concepts that are not particularly challenging are unnecessarily verbose, reminiscent of a child trying to meet a minimum word count.
Books, materiales and videos are Amazing. The content is good, the teacher is great (the one who gives 90% of the clases), there is one with a funny accent who is not bad, justo very Quick in giving the lesson. However, for some reason I don't know, the platform does not work on one of my computers even though I used it during book 1 and 2. The rest, perfect!!
