Review Time
I haven't traveled with this vest yet but I did load it up to see how it would work. It does work but it is not as comfortable as I thought it would be when carrying a lot. It also didn't lay as flat as I would have liked. Still, I am hopeful that I will like it after I need to use it.
Wonderful products in general. The sewing on the bottom inside of the right front pocket of one of the two pants I recently purchased came undone, so I had it sewn back up rather than go to the trouble of returning it. Also, the pants wrinkle too easily for such expensive pants, in my opinion, and hanging them for weeks does not take the wrinkles out, nor does wearing them. Be great if you could solve that problem in the future, as I don't want to iron my things.
I bought one of their coats under a promo code. I have always worn large in any other brand of coat. Their large is clearly an XXL. I called to see if I could exchange but they said no due to the promo code. But they would allow me to purchase another so I would be stuck with 2 of their crappy coats instead of one. Just say no!
I love my SCOTTeVEST! I bought it for a trip to Paris so I could keep my valuables close. I have been using it for day trips to determine what items I want to keep in which pockets. I have also purchased a Charlotte Chambray shirt.I have run into a couple of issues, however it was not a problem with Scottevest.First, I am a short lady. I'm only 5"1" tall. And I'm curvy. I ended up buying a man's RFID vest. It has side slits at hips and it just fit better. I did buy a woman's vest to try, but it just did not work for me. The Scottevest customer service department was FANTASTIC!!!! I returned the vest with absolutely no problem. My only wish is that the company would develop a vest for petite people.
This was my first experience with Scottevest and its products. I tried a jacket, a vest and pants. I kept the vest and like it. The jacket I felt was too heavy and had too many pockets. The pants did not fit comfortably. The cost to return items was very expensive due to weight.
Disappointed with the Quest Vest. The black color is fading in the few months I've had it. Haven't washed it so that's not the problem. I do spend a lot of time in the sun. Size is smaller than expected. The fit is significantly tighter than the Revolution Jacket which fits me perfectly even with additional layers beneath. I'm very happy with the Revolution Jacket. It's a great product that fulfills all of my needs as a photojournalist. It's just too warm for year round use.
