My husband decided to give them a try. One of the halibuts was chewy like eating a wet paper towel. One salmon had brown spots. We will be receiving our second order with scallops. We went this route because our food stores sell crummy looking seafood. If the second order products are subpar, I think we will cancel.
I'm 2 years into using Sea to Table and continue to be a very satisfied customer. I felt compelled to update this review to acknowledge the ease of ordering and skipping deliveries. Today I went to their website to skip my next delivery. Their website makes that process extremely easy. I delayed it solely because it's so soon after the holidays when the freezer is full of leftovers. It has nothing to do with not enjoying the fish; it's still high quality, packaged in good portions, the variety is great, and easy to defrost and cook. Look forward to an emptier freezer and next delivery.
I placed an order for a Christmas gift last year and got a gift card for myself which I forgot about. When I went to use the gift card, I discovered that they have changed their business model to a subscription service. I had a $50 gift card and wanted to spend $116.00. I was shocked when they told me I would have to spend $199 for them to honor my $50 gift card. This is extortion and sad to discover they are Not an honest company. They are a subscription service located in Upstate NY. Their website is antiquated and their customer service is nonexistent. They do not answer phone calls and only respond to emails if you are lucky. I would rather order from Fisherman directly at the source. I called Wild Alaska Salmon and they answered their phone and could not have been more helpful. Unfortunately, my Christmas order will not arrive until after the new year because I waited for Sea to Table to respond to my calls and emails.
I've ordered from Sea to Table several times. With previous orders there were no issues; however, they completely dropped the ball on my most recent order. After waiting one week for it to arrive, I emailed the company to say I hadn't yet received it. A few hours later I received an automated email informing me that a shipping label had just been created. So, it's obvious they lost the order. It might never have shipped if I hadn't written to them. I requested a partial refund. They sent me a coupon code for $25 toward my next order. I'm quite dissatisfied with this experience and will look for a more reliable online supplier of sea food.
I ordered 2 jumbo lobster tails at $50.00 which were supposed to be 6-7 oz but they were less than 4 oz each😡from them along with some fish. I baked the lobster tails and the flesh was like mush! High priced crap. Don’t waste your money
