Review Time
I have been part of April Cox's mastermind group for most of a year now, and I am so impressed with her willingness to help, her expertise, and the value she provides. She really goes above and beyond, and is mindful of the tiny budgets we authors work with. I am very grateful for April.
The sessions were in-depth, actionable, patient and very specific to what we (the students) needed, not just generic advice. Amazon advertising is a steep learning curve, and overwhelming. April breaks it down to manageable bits.-Rita Goldner
Thank you April, for being with me every step of the way on my publishing journey. I couldn’t have finished my 1st Children’s Book without your encouragement, guidance and help pressing the submit button! I’m glad I found you, and your company Self Publishing Made Simple!
I want to update my review of April Cox, creator of Self Publishing Made Simple. April delivers current and up-to-date strategies for self publishing and marketing your book. I am just getting started in learning how to get my first book out. I have worked with April in her Mastermind group and mentoring with her in one-to-one coaching. Here’s the update: Lately, April has shown me ways to use AI to produce exceptional marketing content quickly and easily, the way to set up my welcome email sequence, and has introduced me to successful people and useful software that gives you detailed how-to information that is ahead of what others are doing. I highly recommend checking her out at Self Publishing Made Simple. April has a lot to teach us if we are serious about being successful in self-publishing our books. She is supportive, reliable and really commits to helping the authors she works with.
“There’s no place like home… there’s no place like home…” I thought, as I signed up for April Cox’s Self-Publishing Made Simple course. I had been writing, editing, and revising children’s short stories for over twenty years, but felt lost in the overwhelming world of publishing. I had heard countless discouraging stories about the pitfalls of the publishing industry. In this journey, April Cox took on the role of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. I followed the yellow brick road through Zoom classes, which included both video sessions and workbook activities. Along the way, I learned valuable lessons from the Lion, who sought courage; the Tin Woodman, who yearned for a heart; and the Scarecrow, who craved a brain. I realized that self-publishing was achievable, giving me the knowledge I needed. I received professional editing from Bobbie Hinman and had my illustrations and stories beautifully designed by Praise Saflor. Although I had the passion to publish, I initially felt I lacked the courage to do so. Thankfully, Toto, represented by Denise Walnoffer, supported me throughout the process. With her help, I successfully launched three books on Amazon. The journey down the yellow brick road was challenging and time-consuming, and my learning curve was steep. I managed tasks such as obtaining ISBNs, copyrighting, designing with Canva, navigating KDP, and creating newsletters, among many others. My investment in April Cox’s Self-Publishing Made Simple course not only helped me realize my dream of publishing but also filled my heart with joy, knowing that there truly is “no place like home” in the world of self-publishing.
