What an amazing turkey and tinsel trip to Llandudno! From the moment we got on the coach, the driver was incredibly helpful. Each day, he went above and beyond, ensuring we enjoyed stunning views in Snowdonia and experienced Swallow Falls up close. He provided clear explanations of our itinerary.
The hotel and its staff were excellent. Meal times were well-organized, and they offered delightful extras on Christmas night. All luggage was managed by the staff, and within 10 minutes of our arrival, our suitcases were at our doors. Their assistance was outstanding.
The other guests on the coach were friendly, and we all had a fantastic time from December 8th to 12th. A big thank you from me and my sister! We look forward to joining again next year.
The booking process was straightforward with multiple payment options and clear documentation. Day 1 – Departure: The initial transfer on a luxury coach was wonderful, featuring comfortable seating, festive decorations, entertainment, snacks, and friendly drivers. However, the wait for the tour coach at Service 24 was frustrating; it took an hour and the subcontracted drivers were unhelpful. Trip Experience: Communication from the drivers was lacking, with minimal guidance provided, forcing passengers to ask repeatedly for updates. Day 1 – Liège: The seven-hour stop felt excessive, leading many passengers, particularly older ones, to spend their time in cafés. My partner and I ended up planning our own activities due to the inadequate guidance. Day 2 – Valkenburg: While the cave tours were enjoyable, we experienced long waits to return to the coach. Day 3 – Aachen: The market visit felt hurried because of a late departure. Coach Comfort and Atmosphere: Many seats were broken or reclined, causing discomfort and affecting the overall experience. The legroom was tight, and the heating was excessive, with no air conditioning; adjustments had to be requested. There were no Christmas decorations, leaving passengers to create their own festive atmosphere. Return Journey: The return coach was from a different company, but the drivers were professional and friendly. However, we faced delays due to absent minivans, which resulted in waiting in the rain (partly our oversight). In comparison to previous trips, this one lacked engaging drivers, snacks/drinks, and additional stops like a chocolate factory in Aachen. Overall Impression: While the booking and initial coach experience were excellent, the main tour coaches and drivers fell short. Long waits, uncomfortable seating, inconsistent scheduling, and a lack of festive elements diminished the trip. It did not meet the expectations set by previous experiences, leading to the conclusion that this may be our first and last holiday with this service.
Our bus driver was outstanding—very skilled, accommodating, and informative while being genuinely nice. The hotel was basic, with a pleasant bar and restaurant area, but the rooms had issues like uneven floors and poorly installed bathroom flooring. The Bristol market was small, but Bath market was bustling. Overall, it was a good weekend despite the hotel shortcomings.
The trip took an astonishing 3 hours to reach the destination, which was quite frustrating. The main coach lacked basic supplies like toilet paper and water for handwashing on the way down, and the same issue occurred on the return journey. The hotel room was quite shabby and not clean, with a poorly designed ensuite. Having paid an extra amount for a view, I expected a higher standard. However, the coach driver was excellent, and the train of lights was enjoyable, but the journeys were quite unbearable.
Our bus driver was fantastic—very skilled, helpful, and friendly, providing all the necessary information. The hotel was basic; while the bar and restaurant area were nice, the rooms had issues like uneven floors and poorly laid flooring in the bathroom. The Bristol market was on the smaller side, but the Bath market was large and crowded. Overall, it was a good weekend, though the hotel could have been better.
Our hotel was located 1 hour and 20 minutes outside of the city, leading to more time spent on the coach than in the city itself. Dinner was served at 6:30 with no flexibility, resulting in just 10 minutes to check in and get to the meal, leaving no time to freshen up. On the second night, the hotel hosted a large birthday party, cramming us into a small room with communal tables. The food was poorly presented, resembling a cheap buffet. A member of our group complained to the manager, but our driver’s efforts to negotiate were unsuccessful. I recommend reviewing this tour promptly.
I had booked an all-inclusive trip to see the Bulbfields, but the company changed it to non-inclusive and refunded me a small amount for the inconvenience. I believe that covering my own meals would exceed that refund. They later canceled my trip date and offered alternatives that didn’t suit my plans. I opted for a full refund. I also canceled another trip due to the issues with the first, resulting in losing my deposit. I will not use this service again and would advise others to think twice.
