This is a total scam I would never order food from an online company and never created an order from simple menu. I have never ordered from simple menu or any similar company and will pursue this Pennsylvania attorney general consumer department.
I order wings from a restaurant and was directed to this simplemenu. After placing the order I got a text saying if there's anything wrong with your order contact us and we will call you. Once I realized the restaurant was wrong location, I text them. Did not get a call, no contact until next day saying they can't refund me after food was made. If I contacted before food was prepped, no one would cancel anyway if their contact time is next day. Do not use this simplemenu. Scam
My local Thai place listed them on Google to take orders. I placed an order, never got a confirmation e-mail. Called the Thai place, never got the order. There's no number to call Simple Menu so I email them. They finally submit the order to the Thai place 40 minutes after.
A TOTAL SCAM!!, DO NOT share your personal information- but if you’re reading this you likely already have. I was placing an order at a restaurant through the Google listed website and was redirected to simplemenu.com. I placed my order, received a confirmation and once I arrived at the restaurant they said they don’t do online orders and to call the number listed to get a refund. I got a text message from a “Joe” from simplemenu saying they are processing my refund, when I never even called or had the chance to cancel it. This seems way too fishy
Do not use this service. They are shady as hell and overcharge you and make you chase your money. I ordered food on 12/24 and was charged over $14 dollars in sales tax when sales tax only amounted to $5. Then i was charged an even higher amount than it said in the email. I called several times and was met with excuses and told the “supervisor” was away for the holidays. I was told they would call me back to resolve this and that didn’t happen. Two weeks went by and i called again and was met with more excuses but i finally got refunded the overcharged amount. They seem to be hoping that they can steal your money and you’ll give up. They didn’t care about the inconvenience and refused to do anything to make things right. Shady as hell, stay away!
Scammers. They make FAKE website fronts for small local restaurants and take the orders... along with some extra money from your accounts. They overcharged me and refused to send an explanation of the overcharges. They prey on small businesses and their customer service team is impossible to deal with.
Absolute nightmare just go directly to the store don't use this service. I put the order in got to the store and they still had not been paid, I had time to place a complaint with PayPal couldn't get my food due to the confusion and more importantly the restaurant only wanted to charge me $20 tax included but simplemenu charged me $27 with no fees or anything. $7, I understand the company has got to charge a little markup to survive.. but 35%?
Ordered from a local Chinese restuarant online. Didn't notice that the transaction was run by SIMPLEMENU.COM. I thought that this small restaurant was just being "onlined' by a third party supplying ordering and website facilities. I got three emails in a short period of time indicating that the order had been placed, was being cooked, and then ready for pickup. I arrived at the appointed time and was given my food. No issues. I had paid thru PAYPAL because, for some reason, my credit card 'could not be verified'. When checking the PAYPAL transaction a few days later I noticed that the charge had been set-up for 'recurring'. I started a fraud investigation and am waiting to hear...The food, by the way as terrific, but nobody spoke even a semblance of English at the place - all transactions were done by my phone number.
If I could give NO STARS I would. Ordered and payed for food and it said I’d get a confirmation shortly. Well…half an hour later I got a confirmation. I already ordered food somewhere else. Asked for a refund and didn’t hear back. Happy that Pay Pal is standing behind me and refunded the money. Awful company.
