Review Time
Ok, I've been asked to update my review. I'm doing so in fairness to the company but to also try and help people avoid the confusing situation I found myself in when the brake cable on my Sole E55 broke. Without realizing it I ended up working with two different companies: Sole Fitness and also Sole Fitness Parts, which is, as I understand it, a whole different company altogether. Sole Fitness are the ones who refused (in email) to help me at all until I could prove to them that I had bought the machine, which is weird. I had registered the machine online when I bought it (and had the date of registration) but they kept insisting that they didn't have my registration and that they wouldn't do anything until I furnished them with proof of purchase. Double weird because I wasn't asking for a repair under warranty, I just wanted information on repairing the machine myself. Here's a quote from their email: "To finalize your warranty registration and move forward with your repair request, we do still require a copy of your proof of purchase. Once we have this, we will be able to proceed with assisting you further with your Sole E55."Without realizing the difference I ended up ordering the part from Sole Fitness Parts. They provided the part I ordered and they did it quickly. My only gripe with them is that when I asked them to make sure I was ordering the right part I get this whole "it's complicated" answer. I could accept that except for the fact that I had included a photo of the flywheel and cable in my email, so I ding them for making it unnecessarily complicated. Still, I'll add a star to my review because they got the part to me quickly, it was the right part, and they were nice about pointing out I had mixed up two different companies. To make it really confusing, when I received the part I called the company and asked them a question about the installation and the service guy was great, giving me specific information without any hassle. When I now realized is that I had called Sole Fitness's service department. Confusing, isn't it?********************************(below is the original review):If you call and talk to their service department you'll almost certainly get someone who's great and can give you common sense advice. However, if you email them it's a different story. Two odd things. First, I emailed them the model and serial number of my elliptical and asked them what is the part number I needed to order for a specific part (the cable for the brake); I included a photo. The response was along the lines of "it's complicated...". Seriously? So I figured it out on my own and ordered the part, installed it and everything works (after I called and actually talked to someone in the service department; great guy). Then I started getting emails telling me that they couldn't tell me the part number until I provided them with proof of purchase! The machine is four years old so it's not like I was trying to get warranty work done. I did provide them with the specific date I had registered the machine online with them but received an email that this wasn't good enough, I had to send them proof of my purchase. Just to be told which part to order and pay for myself????? How weird is this? Again, I had already ordered, received and installed the part so I just ignored the email. This company has issues.
I recently purchased a new Sole F85 treadmill after owning a 2013 Sole F85. The incline stopped working properly and we figured we had definitely got our money out of this one so we opted to purchase a new one. The new F85 appears to look more sleeker then old F85 but there’s plenty of room. The new screen on the F85 is a plus. Plus you can also connect to apps on the screen as well as preloaded workouts also. There is also a Sole app that connects directly to the treadmill. Also the screen will mirror your phone. I have utilized the app with the phone but not actual treadmill screen that connects to WiFi. I really enjoy the decline feature. It’s nice to walk down hill after walking up hill . I will definitely recommend the Sole F85 to anyone looking for a good solid treadmill. They cost a little more but you get what you pay for. Also it’s pretty easy to put together. It’s just heavy carrying it upstairs. I recommend at 3 people if going up stairs. If you’re looking for a tredmill, you can’t go wrong with this one.
