Spareroom used to be ok, but now it's just too many controls, must do this, can't do this, can't list Youtube video link of property. Video has to be within their guidelines. My video of 2mins was shredded.

It isn't free as another recent review claims. Not sure re landlords but If you're seeking accommodation you have to pay an "early bird" fee or you can't message the advertiser for 7 days. In which time it is obvious that anywhere worth having will go. I got really badly let down by a landlord who promised a two week trial on quirky accommodation that wouldn't be for everyone but probably ideal for me. Said they'd had a better offer but would let me know. I said not too. Later came back on site with previous place they'd just let which I'd originally responded to,the other hadn't even been advertised, I did report it and did get reply from spare room and advert did disappear. All I can say is be very careful.
