Since starting tutoring with Nina in September my daughter has really improved in her French. She’s in Year 8, so I really wanted her to catch up and get confident in class, but she’s exceeded all my expectations in her latest assessments. In June year 7 she was 54% against a year average of 47% and in her last assessment she has rocketed to 82% against a year average of 54%. She really enjoys her sessions with Nina and we’re thrilled her confidence has improved.

Avoid avoid avoid. Awful experience in terms of communication and set up. So quick to take payments off you for inductions etc, which then take weeks and weeks to arrange. And then they start the direct debit for tutor sessions which you haven’t received. We’re currently in month two of payment for tutor sessions and we haven’t had even one proper session yet as the tutors we get “aligned” with then get removed off the (awful, non user friendly) Slack chat before even the first session has happened, and with no explanation. I’m being pushed to “bank” the sessions. I don’t want that ! I want them to start asap and I don’t want to be charged for sessions that we haven’t had - it’s not complicated? Meanwhilst I see Sparks doing loads of ads on Insta. Super super frustrating when then clearly can’t service the business they have ? Would not recommend them. Paid induction fees in January. Now March and we still don’t have an English tutor lined up but payments have been taken for Feb and March. Comms with Spark is AWFUL via the Slack app they make you use. Takes days to get even a holding response.
Our daughter has received weekly tutoring from Emmanuella since April 2025. She is due to sit her GCSEs this summer and with the fantastic support, structure and encouragement from Emmanuella she has increased her maths and English grades by 2 grades. Our daughter has severe dyslexic tendencies and Emmanuella structures the sessions to ensure she has a better understanding of what is expected of her and how the smallest of changes can increase her marks on a paper. If she doesn’t understand something Emmanuella always finds a way to help her understand. She has so much patience and we would highly recommend Spark Tutoring to anyone no matter what their level.
Clara has been an excellent tutor for my son on the run up to his GCSE’s. She’s been engaging and made sure she’s helped him with the things he needed. He’s now 3/4 levels higher than he was prior to the tutoring.The company on a whole is very well ran. Communication is excellent and you truly feel like they care.Thank you spark 😀

The teaching is fantastic, and the lesson was great. The tutor knows her subject and was on point. My daughter was pleased with it. I can't complain. The only problem was the fee, which was a little bit expensive for me. I was no longer able to afford it. I wish I could.
