Even if you try every question, and get a couple wrong, it says you haven't completed it. When I log on, most of my homework says late, even though I tried every question. One time I gave up and just used Google for the answer and I put it in the exact way Google put it and Sparx said it was incorrect.

One random Tuesday at school, I had Maths after Break and I had forgotten to do my Sparx. It was a very ordinary day and I didn't expect anything more than a verbal warning. I had never forgotten to do my Sparx before. I went to the library to do as much Sparx as possible as some is always better than none. I got around half of it completed, but as I rushed, I got none of the bookwork correct, but I thought nothing of it. When it came round to Maths, that's when things started to get bad. The teacher gave me a warning, but that was it, really. The teacher was acting slightly off, though. They had a strange shine in their eyes, like a faint deep blue. They have brown eyes. The rest of the day went by no problem, and I went home without a care in the world. When i got home, however, My mum was sitting in the dining room just staring at me. Not saying a word. Then I noticed it. The same shine that was in the teacher's eyes as well. When I went upstairs, she began whispering something. I couldn't hear her fully, but it sounded like, "Do your Sparx" and she was repeating it over and over again. She was acting off as well.

I am pretty certain this was caused by Sparx, and I hope this is just a bug or something, but please fix it!

Sparx Maths is not a website. It’s a punishment simulator. Whoever made this had to have woken up one day and said, “How can I ruin the youth’s will to live?” — and then coded this monstrosity.

Every question feels like it was written by a robot with a personal grudge. “Round 6.999 to the nearest hundredth.” BRO, I’VE BEEN ROUNDING FOR HALF AN HOUR, LET ME LIVE.

And the videos? They don’t help. They just stare at you with that fake cheerful tone while you question your life choices. I could watch 47 of them and still have no idea what’s going on.

You can’t even skip the impossible questions — you must get 100% or suffer forever. It’s like Groundhog Day, but with fractions and despair.

At this point,I would rather go bald and get laughed at for a MONTH and then sit through a five-hour lecture on long division than do another Sparx homework.

Sparx doesn’t build knowledge. It builds rage, trauma, and existential dread. If this site were a person, I’d file a restraining order.

Please, for the love of all that’s holy — BAN SPARX. Protect future generations. No one deserves to go through this math-induced madness.

ABSOLUTELY USELESS
Sparx maths, science and reader are just a waste of my personal time. WE ALREADY DO ENOUGH LEARNING ALREADY!! AND... I get a punishment for not finishing it. YOU JUST HAVE TO DO 100% OF IT TO ACTUALLY COMPLETE IT! It is just a big waste of my personal time.

some say the source of all earthly evil is greed or hatred but clearly they have never faced Sparx Maths at 9pm on a Sunday there is something uniquely villainous about a platform that calmly informs you that you have answered 49 questions correctly but must still complete just a few more before it will release you back into the world its cold unblinking algorithm seems to sense the exact moment your motivation dies and responds by generating three more questions on the one topic you hoped would never return the cheerful interface only deepens the suspicion that this is all part of a grand design to test human endurance if procrastination had a final boss it would wear the logo of Sparx Maths and whisper one more task to 100% completion it is HELL.

As a Year 11 student who's been doing Sparx for 4 years, all I have to say is WHY. Why would anyone create a learning platform to maximise the suffering of students? To start, homework is completed when someone gets 100% correct. Personally, this worsened my fear of failure and made me want to avoid maths. Mistakes are supposed to help us grow, and Sparx doesn't leave any room for it. Students also have to worry about constant bookwork checks, which distracts them from the maths itself. This website is counterproductive, as maths is about logical reasoning and not perfection.

I can summarise my Sparx experience using 2 words: A WASTE. I've wasted hours watching condensending videos that don't help. I've wasted so much effort doing impossible questions (I'm in higher). I've cried countless times and felt worthless whenever I got something wrong. The questions are WAY too long which increases burnout. Sparx is the 9th circle of hell for students' mental health.

Thanks to Sparx, maths has made me feel incompetent, dread, anxiety... the list goes on. If any school is thinking of using Sparx, DON'T. Save your students from insanity.

Ngl, sparx is dihpressing💔😔. One time, I was minding my own business, having a cheeky goon, when suddenly, my maths teacher comes soaring through the window, and says “I’ll show you bad bookwork” and lowk trapped my dih between 2 books, and ripped it clean off😔🥀. Would not recommend.
