Frustrating Experience at the Store

Just left the store feeling quite frustrated. Prices keep rising, especially for coffee, which seem excessive along with meats and seafood. I avoid their seafood as it tastes overly salty. The bread appears to be repeatedly frozen and thawed, crumbling when I try to make a sandwich. I was uncomfortable in the restroom seeing individuals dressed differently in the women's area, and one person at the register consistently wore a mask. The bulk bin prices were shocking, and the prepared roasted chickens at 7 pm were just sitting in plastic bags under heat lamps. Sliced meats and cheeses are overpriced as well. I no longer shop there; my visit only led to more frustration. I'm not a fan of the large corporations that dominate the market. Before 2020, bulk coffee was $7.99, now it's $19.99 despite falling gas prices. It feels like customers are being exploited. The so-called sales aren’t real sales. I've decided not to return again. I can't even find my previous review from months back. Goodbye.

High prices and unclear promotions

The prices seem high compared to the quality. The weekly ads are among the least effective of any supermarket, making it hard to find items and often misleading: buy one get the second half off... but the original price is unclear. The store was clean, but when I asked for bulk spices, I was given vague directions that took extra time to navigate. I doubt I will return.

Health concerns in the deli department

Zero stars for the deli department. I strongly recommend avoiding the deli and 'grab n go' section. The food handling practices are concerning, as items often sit out for hours before being refrigerated. Expiration dates are misleading, and customers aren't provided accurate information regarding freshness. The shelves are not maintained properly, raising serious health questions about many items. The deli does not adhere to basic food safety standards, despite the claims made by the company. If health is a priority, I suggest skipping the deli altogether.

Issues with billing practices

During a recent visit to the store, I used self-checkout and was charged multiple times for an apple purchase. After raising the issue, a cashier corrected it but did not apologize. A few days later, while shopping with my sister, we found we had been double charged for two items totaling nearly $80 after spending over $200 on groceries. When we sought assistance from a manager, the employee was dismissive and seemed familiar with complaints about overcharging. In addition to high prices, overcharging seems to be a frequent issue.

Positive experience at the Cape Coral location

I enjoy visiting the store in Cape Coral, where the staff is friendly and helpful, and the aroma of fresh fruits and herbs is delightful. However, I question the decision to change the management team, as the previous manager and assistant manager were excellent. I witnessed the new management in a confrontation with an employee, which seemed inappropriate. The company should maintain what works well and reconsider these changes.

Frustrating experience with promotions

I attempted to take advantage of a promotion for Thanksgiving, but when I reached the register, the discount did not apply. After discussing it with a supervisor, I was told that no such promotion existed, despite receiving a text about it. I returned the turkey myself instead of leaving it at the checkout. This experience has led me to believe the company is unreliable, and I noticed some fresh herbs were already going bad on the shelves.

Not as expected

I visited a location that I thought would have a good selection, but I was disappointed. The bulk items were lacking, and the produce section was quite small. They have deals that expire without notice, which feels deceptive. I had a coupon but decided against returning. Additionally, I found some vitamins to be excessively priced.
