Prepare yourself mentally and physically to not have any income for 8+ weeks. You will not be fully informed informed about the claims process. Your adjustor will forget to mail your checks. It’s a level of crookery I haven’t experienced since the 1980s prior to more stringent insurance regulation.
One star feels generous for this service. If I could, I would rate them zero stars. My experience is rooted in a personal tragedy. My girlfriend’s son tragically passed away at work, and he had a double indemnity policy along with others from this provider. The struggle to obtain payment has been unbearable. I won’t go into all the details, but it has been a nightmare. They operate on their own schedule, claiming checks were sent that never arrived, and we’re now on the third promise for the same payment. They are extremely reluctant to release funds, yet if you miss a small payment, they are relentless in their pursuit. I would only consider this service if there were absolutely no alternatives available. It’s truly that terrible.
I am truly appalled by their presence as a company. Their only contribution seems to be intruding into people's affairs without any valid reason, simply out of curiosity!
Many businesses may feel empowered by this behavior, but let me say this: during tough times, it would be wise not to mention having worked for or owned this company. Just like those who destroy beautiful natural spaces for profit without consideration for wildlife or community needs, such individuals will not be welcomed when times get tough. My advice? Just stay quiet and go away!
