This place is a scam and I rip off they had me paying for glasses I don’t have Marcie and her staff are horrible they lied and said they gave me two pairs of glasses and they did I didn’t like them and returned them now they are saying I have both pair that’s a lie I had to call the police and file a report please do not go here!
It's supposed to be buy one, get 1 free or 2 pair of $79.But five focals are not included in that ended up costing me four hundred and seventy eight dollars for 2 pairs of glasses , which is outrageous then these sunglasses took longer, then I was told that they could not do tent on bifocal on the sunglasses now they have to go back and I can't have them again for 2 more weeks, the employee did upgrade them and he said that he wasn't charging me for that, but all that should have been told to me in the first place cause now it's going on 3 to 4 weeks since I had my Examination.
Quick appointment making process. The staff helped confirm my insurance benefits and were patient when trying to contact my benefits specialist. The exam was quick but I wasn't made to feel like they had better things to do. When finalizing the cost of my glasses and what my benefits covered, the staff showed me different options of payments and worked with me knowing that any extra cost in this day and age is a hard hit to your wallet. My glasses came in 5 days earlier than expected which was an added bonus. I have nothing negative to say about my experience with Stanton Optical. I wish I could say that about more businesses in my hometown.
It took 2 weeks to get my first pair of glasses in and the second pair had the wrong prescription so it took another 2.5 weeks to get that corrected. The employees seemed bothered that I complained about the second pair being wrong and tried to gaslight me and tell me that it’s just my eyes. They still refuse to admit it was the wrong prescription.
Made an appointment, showed up, filled out the paperwork, sat down in the exam chair, and that’s when they decided to tell me that there’s no actual doctor on the premises. They let an auto refractor do the exam and then a real doctor in some remote location signs the glasses prescription. No dilation, no checking retinal health. They should have been upfront about this idiotic system. I said no thanks…do you trust your eyes to a robot? Thanks for wasting my time.
They were very respectful, yet down to business. They explained my prescription and addressed my concerns very kindly and courteously, and the fitting itself went quickly, efficiently, and was done with the utmost respect.
This is incredibly frustrating. They lure you in with promotions for buy one get one free and complimentary eye exams, but speaking with the doctor comes at an additional cost of $30. Their advertisement suggests glasses, but that's only for the frames, while the actual glasses cost an extra $200. The prices of $79 and $135 are for the lowest quality options available—better ones can be found at a dollar store. Plus, there are only 15 unappealing frames to choose from. Proceed with caution; don't waste your time or money on their misleading tactics.
