St Gregory's is a company that, until recently, managed a home care service and a residential home in a specific location. Both entities are operated by a similar group of shareholders. The home care service unexpectedly closed with little notice, leaving many clients, including my parent, in a difficult situation. It's important to note that establishing new care arrangements typically requires a minimum of 2-3 weeks. While the direct care staff and junior leadership were competent, the senior leadership seems more focused on financial performance than client care. This has raised concerns for me about the residential home as well. Additionally, records indicate that a Compulsory Strike Off Order was initiated for the residential home but later suspended, and overdue accounts were reported. If you're considering this residential home for a family member, I advise thorough due diligence, particularly regarding contractual terms. Be wary of any behaviors that could be seen as disruptive, which might lead to eviction. Regardless of the marketing assurances provided, it's vital to remember the abrupt closure of the home care service and the lack of support during that transition, which could be even more challenging if a residential placement were to end unexpectedly.
