Quoted £69, charged £230 for a job that took two minutes. The final price included multiple hidden fees that were never explained beforehand. This felt misleading and completely unprofessional. Always demand full written pricing upfront if you deal with this company. I would not recommend SwiftLock to anyone.

Scamming Thieves

I had explained to the supposed "locksmith" over the phone that it was a digital lock on an apartment door. I met him at the entrance of the apartment block and the first thing he said which was the first red flag, was it was lucky that I called at 16:20 to avoid a large call out fee. He then bragged that he was a professional and would be done in 10 minutes. I asked where his accent was from and he said he was Israeli, when I tried to engage in conversation about how my sister was married to an Israeli (niece born there) and how stunning Israel was, he was aloof and rude.Looked at the door and explained because it was a digital.lock it was a $400 job, plus the call out fee plus what other bits he could add on explaining the whole job would cost $642. I must pay ID as soon as completed, as it was only going to take 10 minutes. 40 mintes later of him trying to use a device to go under the actual door and unlock the handle from the inside and no luck. The whole time he spent on his phone speaking with his Israeli boss for advice. No attempt whatsoever to try to actually pick or disable the electronic lock. In short, old mate was most certainly NOT a qualified locksmith. I said I would call a different company, to which he requested I pay a $99 cancellation fee. Certainly not, as I did not cancel, he was unable to do his job, the one he bragged would be done in 10 minutes. He then advised me not to use any of the top three google search locksmith companies as they are all his bosses businesses. So, I called another business, not in the top 3 business results on google. Low and behold a guy with an Israeli accent offering to drill off the lock entirely. How odd that he already was so familiar with the problems I was facing. After finally speaking to a local family owned locksmith business, one photo to him and bang, I was in my apartment without him even attending and at no charge. The cherry on the cake however, was the Israeli boss dude calling me later that evening to "check on me" but actually wanting to know the knack of how I got in. F you Swift Lock, you scamming bastards!

Aggressive

My cousin, in her 70s, had an awful experience with these people. She could not open her door after trying for a long time. A passer by who also could not open it, suggested she call SWIFT LOCKSMITH SOLUTIONS LTD.SWIFT LOCKSMITH SOLUTIONS LTD did not quote any amount before simply opening the door, or on the phone. She was quoted £250 for this, AFTER the opening happened, NO REPAIR REQUIRED ... significantly over the callout charge which is under £100. The man insisted on immediate payment, was AGGRESSIVE, and put his foot in the door to stop my cousin from closing the door and feeling secure in her property. The phone rep denied intimidation. It was very intimidating and upsetting. No refund has been made for this exaggerated bill, and no apology for the aggression and lack of transparency.

Disgraceful Customer Service…

I paid £464 for a key lock safe to be fitted to my parents house. This was extremely expensive, but as I needed the safe quickly, I accepted the cost. The fitter suggested where it should be fitted. However, when I went to set the code, I could not see the numbers on the dials, it was dark and the outside light just shone, making it impossible to see. I thought it was just me as I'm 67, but the engineer said it was fine. However, all the carers that have arrived at the house have complained about the siting of the safe. I contacted the company back to ask if they can re-site the safe and they wanted to charge me a call out and labour charge for their efforts, another £150. Disgusting customer service.

Daylight robbery: quoted £79 + VAT, then billed £379 + VAT (and VAT invoice missing VAT number)

Avoid. This company’s pricing feels like a trap for people in a vulnerable situation. We were locked out on 1 Jan 2026 around 12pm. On the phone I was told it would be £150 for the locksmith to come and fix the issue (VAT mentioned, but no clear warning about extra drilling/opening charges). When the locksmith arrived, he said the lock had to be drilled and quoted £79 + VAT to drill/open the door. We only agreed to drilling/opening.Then the real scam: the next morning I got a card notification showing £454 had been taken. When I opened the invoice, it showed: • £150 charge • £379 “labour to open main door” • £105.80 VAT • £634.80 totalSo: £79 + VAT quoted for drilling/opening, but £379 + VAT charged for “opening”. The locksmith was there for about 20 minutes and it was midday, not some “emergency at 2am” job.To confirm how inflated this was, on 2 Jan 2026 we called to check their prices and were told: £59 call-out, £65 opening a door, £45 new lock. Completely different to what we were charged. Also, they charged VAT but the invoice does not show a VAT registration number. Huge red flag. This was blatant overcharging and misrepresentation. Get a written fixed quote from someone else — or you’ll be next.

Unclear Pricing and Unprofessional Service

We found the pricing structure to lack transparency and the service from staff to be unsatisfactory. The phone operator failed to disclose that the callout fee pertained solely to the attendance and did not encompass any remedial works. Upon seeking clarification, the operator demonstrated dismissive and unprofessional behaviour. The engineer provided contradictory quotations, initially rejecting a proposed figure, subsequently accepting it, and thereafter altering the final sum. The absence of transparency and inadequate communication between personnel resulted in a wholly unsatisfactory experience. We would not recommend using their services at all.

Avoid this company.

Avoid this company.I was abroad at the time and was quoted a maximum of £300, which was then changed to £339. After the work was done, I was charged £680 without my agreement. The price was increased after the locksmith arrived and started work, and I felt pressured to pay. No proper explanation was given for the huge increase. Had I been told the real cost upfront, I would never have agreed to the service.I paid by card and am disputing the charge with my bank and have reported this matter.I strongly advise never using this company under no circumstances.
