I am beyond frustrated and honestly quite upset.

When I signed up, I clearly declared that my puppy has skin problems and must not have any chicken or poultry. I made this absolutely clear. That was the whole reason I chose a tailored subscription service so her dietary needs would be properly managed.

I have recently discovered that the dry food supplied contains chicken. This was not clearly stated on the packaging as there is absolutely no label about ingredients but only my dogs name, so there was no way for me to verify this from the bag itself. I only found out after checking the ingredients on the website myself.

This means my dog has been eating something she is allergic to for over six months. During that time she has suffered ongoing itching and skin irritation. I spent significant money on allergy injections and medication, trying to understand what was causing her flare-ups - all while trusting that her food was safe.

How can a company promote personalised dog food while failing to follow clearly declared allergy requirements? This is not a minor oversight. It has real health consequences.

Pet owners rely on transparency and accuracy where their dog’s wellbeing is concerned. Right now, that trust feels completely broken.

All is good , one thing though there is no phone number to ring to talk to anyone, not everyone find apps easy to navigate , after making a mistake a couple of times I now manage to get through but it take too much time and double checking to make sure I’ve done any changes correctly , maybe this could perhaps be looked into .

My rescue dog Dani was a fussy eater when we first got him. We tried so many different foods.
But he loves tails and has been a happy eater ever since. We love that you can have the food delivered to the door, Dani loves our Yodel delivery guy.
It is good that you can skip or reschedule a delivery if you find you have plenty in hand. The whole system works well for us.
And Dani loves the dental sticks too.

I had a voucher for a free months trial of tails, paid delivery £2. - I thought what a bargain, an effect way to trial the food with my dog who has skin & stomach issues. - Was told it wouldn’t take another payment (full.) until the month was up. 15 days into my monthly supply and they take a full payment and an even bigger bag of food shows up that I didn’t agree to. Contacted tails about this and ignored multiple times. Not to mention the food gave my dog chronic diarrhoea every single time she ate it, literally 1 biscuit would upset her stomach. Don’t recommend at all.

Can only get hold of some via there email and then u only get a limited time to reply before the block you
The food has not changed for my boy from puppy to 3 year old has stayed the same
And he now won't eat it most goes in the bin
So sadly I'm walking away and just need to find a good food for him and his sister
Very disappointed with tails after being a loyal customer for nearley 5 years

Might not be the cheapest but Archie has never been or looked better. And now having the combination of the wet and dry food he's "on fire" despite having back leg problems he's bouncing, it's like he was a puppy again.
Keep up the good work, but keep an eye on the prices.

Terrible experience with the trial service

I registered my two dogs for a free trial, ensuring to mention my dog's skin issue so the food could be customized. Initially, both dogs seemed to enjoy the food, but we soon noticed alarming changes in our female dog. By the second week, she experienced significant weight loss, making her ribs visible, despite eating all her meals as per the recommended measurements. Additionally, her skin condition worsened drastically, leading to severe scratching. We followed our vet's advice and stopped the food, returning to our previous brand. If you want to avoid hefty vet bills, I strongly advise staying away from this service. We plan to report this experience to trading standards, media outlets, and social platforms.
