Jennifer Herring is a gifted teacher and her class for CSET Multiple Subjects was enormously helpful

Jennifer Herring is a gifted teacher and her class for CSET Multiple Subjects was enormously helpful. It's a lot of content, but she made everything clear and obviously has a deep understanding of the exam. I signed up for all three classes for the subtests and feel much more confident about it.

I have taken two classes with Jennifer Herring. The first one helped me pass the first time for multiple subject Subtest 3! I just finished up the pre class for Subtest 1 and will be testing soon.
Jennifer is a great instructor and always is willing to go the extra mile if you are having a hard time grasping a concept. Thank you Jennifer!!

Social Science Subtest 3

I signed up to take the zoom class to prepare for one of the social science subtest with Justin. I am so glad I did, Justin was a great teacher in explaining each of the slides and adding his expertise for all the content taught to us in three days. The classes were two hours long, but the time flew by. Thank you Justin for the great guidance and knowledge you provided to prepare for the exam.

Highly recommend

I am in the process of studying for the CSET Multiple Subjects exams and was finding it difficult to know where to start on the math and science section. But the zoom sessions with Jennifer did a thorough breakdown of all the things that might come up. It’s a fast-paced zoom course, but she never hesitated to go back through any material that people were struggling with. It was so helpful that I’ve even signed up to her sessions for Subtest 3!

Easily the worst educational experience Ive had

I had registered with Teachers Test prep to review content to prepare for the Multiple Subject CSET exams. I was very happy and excited to get to studying and pass these tests! Unfortunately, this was not only not helpful but easily the worst educational experience I've experienced from Undergrad, Graduate School, Coast Guard Captains school, etc. The teacher for this class was very clearly more interested in how fast she could speed through slides to get her day over with than in providing any meaningful education. The pedagogies used in her program were antithetical to every meaningful and effective pedagogy we as teachers seek. Let me elucidate with some details. During the math portion, I was trying to take notes. While scribbling like a madman to keep up, I noticed the speed at which this teacher was going, though slides left me not one but more often 3-4 slides behind in the time it takes to write less than 6-8 words. Not a single time did she ask "Are there any questions?", this being one of the cornerstones of teaching and checking fluency. I struggle with math thus taking this course. She moved and spoke faster than Flash runs the 100 meter. At one point I asked for an explanation from her about a term I was unfamiliar with, and her answer at the end was "just look it up"... moments later, when she was racing slides ahead again, I said, "I am feeling really lost", the teacher's reply "just try to keep up". As stated earlier, this is antithetical to any meaningful pedagogy. I ended up having to leave the class as the instruction, despite asking for clarity and help in the class, was so poor and the teacher so disinterested in doing her job, the class had become what I could only describe as a joke. I would suggest Teachers Test prep to have a very serious conversation with their instructors as to what it means to teach.

Not enough contents

I felt the teacher was really great and answered every question I had however the contents in the slides cover just the basics of CSET and when I tried to attend mock tests outside teachers test prep website, there were a lot more of the academics that i needed to study which was not at all mentioned in the slides which were presented. Though I pay for the online classes, I felt I had to google most of the terms that weren't available in the slides. And we never have a contact with the instructor outside the zoom classes, so we were left with many questions and we will never have time to discuss that in the class. I wondered why the syllabus details is comparitively less in this website when compared to others, especially CSET multiple subject subset 3. I had to buy another program and books to cover the missed topics even though if it is basics.

Jennifer is one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever come across in this life. She’s moved fast, but is willing to answer any questions we have. She provided lots of example, tips and tricks, and helped me to understand extremely complex ideas. I honestly felt I learn more and gained a greater understanding of many concepts in her class than I did in my 4 years of college. I’m so happy I had the privilege of taking this study prep class with Jennifer.
