I should have contacted TDS 2 months earlier! Because of my ignorance it was nearly three months since giving up my tenancy before I contacted them. As soon as they were involved my landlord had to respond with evidence, they could not and ,in my case, I got my security deposit back two weeks later.

I used TDS recently to raise a dispute recently and their staff were customer service oriented and professional the way they handled the entire deposit recovery process.

Adjudicator failed to understand the facts and sided with tenant who caused hundreds of pounds worth of damages who admitted to agents her damages and vacated leaving food in fridge and food stains throughout the kitchen. Sadly according to TDS this is all wear and tear!

Exceptional support and understanding

The representative was incredibly helpful and patient, taking the time to listen and address the issues we faced while completing the statutory declaration. We were repeatedly receiving rejection messages due to incorrect address formats. Thankfully, everything has been resolved, and our client will receive the deposit shortly.

Extremely slow response time for evidence review

The service takes an excessive amount of time to review evidence and reach a decision; it took three months to make a ruling against my fraudulent landlord and to process my £600 partial deposit. I am very dissatisfied with their service.

Highly UNFAIR and unjust decision by the Landlord

This decision is extremely UNFAIR and unjustified, particularly given the severe damage to our property, which is thoroughly documented with clear evidence, including photographs. It seems that the adjudicator is completely biased in favor of the tenants. There’s little point in appealing, as it’s likely the same adjudicator will handle the review.
