Mark Shawzin, the Pattern Trader, is the real deal, with a breadth of experience and success in trading. His approach, which will not overwhelm folks who are new, to the study of price and price action is consistent, learnable and timely. I admire Mark for his ability to recognize 'risk on' and 'risk off' environments in the marketplace, seamlessly accept changing conditions and express timely opportunities for his clients. His approach is respectful of preservation of capital and he gives many lessons which can be classified as 'know your risk'. He understands and shares the subtleties of forex, commodity, index and risk asset markets and freely shares this knowledge in real time situations and circumstances of the marketplace. I have always felt I received great value for the cost of his programs and that he is generous in the value he provides free in his introductory seminars.

Last month I started studying of Mark's book titled 'Market Mind' in English. I am native of Poland, so it is not easy for me to understand some ideas and rules of trading presented in the book, but I was astonished that the author presented so difficult material in simple and very clear manner. I bought your book ca two weeks ago - on July 16, of 2025, and I even partly studied it since. I foud the book as super EDU--material on your trading strategy and technique. Bull and Bear flag By Mark Shawzin This book was written perfectly on bull n bear flags if you are a beginner or a seasonal trader this book will definitely help you along the way. The book has precise entry points and exits points on real charts gives you definition on the flag pole the exhaustion etc.. This is a great book mark well put for all to understand even a 6yr old.
Bull and Bear Flags by Mark ShawzinThis book gives a very comprehensive guide on how to trade bull and bear patterns. It fully explains bull and bear patterns and shows how to trade them. It gives lots of illustrations and examples on how to trade these patterns; shows where to place an entry for a trade, where to put the stop loss and take profit, all with illustrations and examples from actual charts. All the explanations are very clear and precise. It is a book I fully recommend, both to new and experienced traders. If you are new to trading I would advise reading through this book before doing any live trading on an account with real money. The only criticisms I can make are near the end of the book on p193 where there is supposed to be a link "Join the Community Here" which is not active and on p 195 under NEXT STEPS where the links "Subscribe Here", "Down Here" and "Start Learning Here" are not yet active, although unlike the active links these are not underlined. I will be using this book for continued reference. Although I had already been trading before signing to Mark's 3 years ago (April 2022) and had good training I was having trouble being profitable after Covid. Mark's methods were able to cope with the conditions post Covid and impoved my trading, apart from the last 2 weeks (late April 2025) where I went into a loss thanks to Donald Trump chopping and changing everything.
His latest book, is amazing. lets start from the way how its written, the printout,the layout. better than 99% of the books , i have found and read already. in addition, i tink this is the first book only about FLAGS. Havent seen anyone out till now. So if you want to learn and read about chart pattern, specific FLAGS, this is the right place to be or read.
Mastering bull and bear flag price patterns by Mark Shawzin- Excellent piece of work and best suited to an informed mind actively seeking to progress to the next level. Mark’s wealth of experience shines throughout the book and has been most informative. I’ll personally benefit from reading the whole piece again and again. Keep up the good work.
Mastering Bull and Bear Flag Price Patterns is an excellent book for traders who want to hone in on one pattern and really master it. The book goes into excellent detail as to why these patterns form and how to enter your trades with the minimal amount of risk. Yes there is a lot of repetition in this book, and that is a good thing. It really drills home the concept of the bear and bull flags. If you are a beginning trader, this might be a little too advanced. But it is something that with a little experience will benefit you. There are plenty of real world examples to pull from. There are plenty of examples where the pattern failed. Risk management, which is discussed in the book, is key to any successful trading.
