Review Time
During my initial selection regarding my trademark, I selected to trademark both my name and my logo. I have documentation showing this. I was then asked during the zoom call with the trademark company if I was indeed trademarking the name and the logo I responded yes. I then receivedan email that specifically mentions design Only and not the name.. I called the trademark company to inquire about this and they confirm that I only submitted a trademark application for my logo. And if I wanted my name trademarked, they could help me with that right away and it would be an additional $300 to them in $350 to the state! This is extremely frustrating because I’ve confirmed twice of exactly what I intended to do which was submit an application for my name as well as my logo. I was told that I could receive a $100 discount off of their $300 fee and I would then have to pay $350 to the state for a second application. I’m a small business owner that has budgeted for this and to be told that I need to now pay more, when two companies dropped the ball is ridiculous! There was no misunderstanding on my end. I stated exactly what I needed twice and was given something totally different. If I could have chosen between the two, I would have 100% trademarked my business name and not the logo! I would appreciate if someone would follow up with me so that we can figure out what you are going to do to make this situation right. Thank you.

Well the story goes- I tried to Trademark myself but failed. I had many offers to fix an office action. I picked Rickson as he had answered my questions and is very patient. Moving along, I am recieving many emails about having to register and whatever and Rickson is informing me what is real and what id Phlishing- including teh new verify system. Thank you. I will doing more.
Paying for support to file for something on a US government website might seem like a unneeded expense, however the guidance was wonderful and to be able to ask questions and get answers right away completely made the expense WORTH IT!
