Review Time
I was very happy with the CV reviews provided by TOPCV for both my son and daughter. The feedback was detailed, professional, and tailored to highlight their strengths and qualifications effectively. It truly helped improve the presentation of their resumes, making them stand out. I highly recommend TOPCV for anyone looking to enhance their CVs!
I shouldn’t be putting any star up here. Maybe the star should be for the CV builder I was attached to? Where do I even start? If I was to get a refund it would be best. 1. The person I was attached to do not understand my area of study or work. He is just probably a writer. The company couldn’t take the time to look for a more suitable person to align with my work. 2. After the CV is created, you will notice the system have already pre-created an AI CV using your own pre-existing CV you uploaded. Which makes no sense to me. Why do I need a professional when I can just simple do what the system did with an AI Tool? 3. Even after you made corrections, you will be be stock with the AI generated CV. Meaning the corrected CV will just be your own copy. So if you now need to proceed with the job application, you will have to upload the corrected CV version from your own folder. Why can’t the write you were attached to just submitted the corrected version or just simple upload it to replace the AI generated one? Why? 4. Even after uploading the corrected version of your CV, the AI will still find it impossible to capture your name. My God I am so pissed. 5. I contacted the customer service, looks like I am talking to an AI. In conclusion, this is a big no for me. I just wasted my money. Might have just used AI to redo my existing CV free of charge.
I requested a free CV review from TopCV and was disappointed to find that the feedback appeared largely automated. It followed a template with broad, surface-level comments about “keyword optimisation” and “structure,” with little reference to my actual experience or CV content. The tone of the review also felt somewhat scaremongering — suggesting that older Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) might not read PDFs, and citing unverified statistics about recruiters rejecting “AI-written CVs.” These statements seemed designed to create concern rather than provide balanced, evidence-based advice.Afterwards, I received several unsolicited marketing emails encouraging me to purchase their rewrite service, despite not opting in for further contact. While TopCV’s free review may seem appealing, my experience suggested it functions more as a sales funnel than a genuine professional evaluation. Those seeking specific, constructive feedback may be better served by other providers or trusted peers in their field.
