Skip a Pay/Extension FraudI have a lease payment plan with autopay set up. I've paid on time every month for almost 2 years.I went online to skip a pay which I thought meant I could skip a month or two then get back on track. I received a confirmation email of my January payment being skipped and would resume in February. Nowhere did it tell me that my January payment would be deemed past due and I would be charged a late fee and I would still owe both January and February payments in February. Despite my confirmation email of the "skipped" payment I kept receiving emails and texts of my past due January payment, that I "skipped." I called and spoke to customer service. After questioning me about where I might get the money for paying the past due amount - even from friends/family, and do I get money from the government? Etc etc. - basically shaming me for not understanding that skip a pay does not mean what it says, and that I'm wanting to skip a pay temporarily until I have the funds to pay my lease amount. They could offer me an extension on my lease - i.e. extending my lease agreement for two months but there was a fee of over $200 for this extension. My lease payments are $600 a month so the fee is about 15% of my two months payments! So much for helping a customer out during a time of financial hardship. If I were asking for a six month extension, I could see justifying the $200+ fee but not for two months. Credit cards don't even charge that much interest. That's insane.Keeping me/the customer in the dark so they can charge me a late fee or an extension fee is outrageous and mind blowing. And fraudulent.
I regret getting a loan from them. They have repeatedly said I'm delinquent, despite my overpaying them. My payments post as failed, only to later say paid. The website for them keeps dropping my bank account info. I am unable to get a rep to talk to. I plan to refinance my loan. The Toyota sales person who sold me the car has brushed me off saying there is nothing he can do.
I’ve had this Loan three years, never been late, never asked for a fee to be waived. Made the payment one day late this month, because I was sick, and they added a $110.50 fee. Waited on hold with customer service an hour to ask for the fee to be waived. The agent was only able to wave $100 worth of the fee. This company clearly does not value long-term or repeat customers.
Missed two payment by direct debit in 15 years only by one or two days. Sent me a reminder for payment.got money in bank phoned them up saying money is in bank but not taken out. They said need see bank did that and bank said nothing to do with bank they don’t stop direct debit unless authorised which I guessed!. Got back in touch with Toyota financial and said they cancelled direct debit.SO THEY WONDER WHY THEYRE NOT PAID!. If they hadn’t cancelled it then they would have been paid. If a message or letter sent to me explaining in first instance why it was cancelled I would have understood. But what made it worse is they tried to blame the bank and it was them that cocked it all up. Usual scenario lack of communication! Useless.
I got connected to a Customer Service on January 13, 2026 between 10am & 1030a. The CS said he doesn't handle my inquiry & will transfer my call to the right department & yes he did transfer my call to a non working number. I just wanted my money back from the Care Plan I purchased. The dealer said to call Toyota Financial & Toyota Financial said to go to the dealer. Hey, Toyota I've gotten 3 cars from you how about being nice to your customers? Treat us with respect. CS is very rude & disrespectful. I can't leave a CS rating/review after my call because he transferred me to a non working number.
Absolute worst service ever. I get told that my Truck that I sold to a dealership is not paid off. Come to find out they received a check from the dealership. I call them to try to figure this out, because it can have consequences with my credit. Spent an hour of my day mad because I was waiting on a rep. The wait times are horrible, the organization of this company is horrible, and the reps are consistently rude. Under no circumstance should you finance with this company.
What a joke this company is , I'm due a refund they said it takes 10 working days and the 10 working days have been and gone. Still no refund as I've phoned the company up three times about it. The credit agreement was all cleared by the 7th of December and we r now on the 22nd
