We had an incredible 16‑day trip to India with Turban Adventures, covering the Golden Triangle and southern India (Kerala - Kochi, Thekkady, Backwaters and Varkala), and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
From start to finish, this itinerary was thoughtfully designed, balancing iconic highlights with meaningful cultural experiences. We especially loved our guides—Amit in Agra and Jitendra in Jaipur were outstanding. Jaipur was a true standout destination for us: the sights, the vibrant energy, and unique experiences like a workshop at Creatis, where we created our own block‑printed textiles, and a memorable dinner with a local family. These moments truly brought the city to life.
Of course, the Taj Mahal was breathtaking. In Agra, we also really enjoyed visiting the local market and taking part in an impromptu mini food tour with our excellent guide—an unexpected and delightful highlight.
Traveling south to Kochi, we were fortunate to have Mary as our guide. Her insights and thoughtful, women’s perspective on Indian and Kerala culture added tremendous depth to our experience. Kochi itself is a charming city—we loved the walkability of the old town and the wonderful textile shopping.
In Thekkady, learning about spices was interesting, and the martial arts show was a lot of fun. We do wish we had known in advance about the beautiful hikes in the nearby national parks—had we known, we definitely would have loved to explore more.
One of the most memorable parts of the trip was our stay in the Kerala backwaters on a houseboat. Cruising through this peaceful and beautiful landscape at sunset, completely off the grid for a night, with our own private cook, was an unforgettable experience.
We then stayed at the luxurious Leela Ashtamudi, overlooking Ashtamudi Lake. This was pure indulgence—the spa, gym, and stunning rooms made us feel truly spoiled.
Our final stop was Varkala, which was the perfect way to wind down the trip. The cliffs, beaches, relaxed atmosphere, and ringing in the New Year there made for a magical ending.
Throughout the entire journey, Turban Adventures provided excellent drivers who were professional, safe, and always at our service. Manohar was incredibly responsive and supportive, both during the planning process and throughout the trip. He worked closely with us beforehand to ensure the itinerary matched what we wanted, and he remained flexible and attentive when small changes or hiccups arose along the way.
Overall, we were extremely pleased with our experience and highly recommend Turban Adventures to anyone seeking a safe, well‑organized, and thoughtfully curated trip to India.
A few tips for future travelers:
*Consider omitting the Tiger Safari unless seeing tigers is a top priority and you can add extra days—sightings are not guaranteed. That said, the lodge was beautiful and the service and food were excellent.
*We would have happily added another day or two (at least) in Jaipur, and possibly explored nearby cities.
*Be mindful of driving times—traffic in India is slow and unpredictable, or perhaps predictably slow.
Thank you, Turban Adventures, for an unforgettable experience. We would travel with you again in a heartbeat!

I want to share my delighted experiences with our vacation in Goa, organized for us by Turban Adventures. If you're looking for a trip where every detail is thought through, this is your choice! We've been to India five times! All our trips were very different! On our November 2025 trip, our goal was to lie on the beach, relax in a cozy hotel, have a delicious meal, and celebrate a birthday with friends!Everything worked out perfectly! And everything turned out perfectly! They found the perfect option for us—a cozy hotel near the beach (but we're lazy), and we took a tuk-tuk to the beach, with a customized schedule. The hotel is clean and beautiful, with its own pool and friendly staff.Transfer and transportation: We were met at the airport with a sign and driven to our destination in a comfortable car. All transfers were clearly planned, and the drivers were polite and punctual. What sets Turban Adventures apart:1. A personalized approach. We were never offered a ready-made package "like everyone else." The program was tailored to our needs.2. Professionalism and responsibility. We always found an answer, solution, and assistance immediately to any of our questions.3. Honesty and transparency. The full price was announced upfront, with no hidden fees or unpleasant surprises.Result: Our vacation was comfortable and relaxing. We didn't have to worry about organizing, finding transportation, or dealing with everyday issues. We simply relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.A huge thank you to the entire Turban Adventures team and especially to the person who organized several of our tours. His name is Manohar! A true Professional!!! Thank you!We will definitely be back and will recommend you to all our friends!
We booked a tour from Delhi covering Delhi, Mathra, Munchkundh, Gwallior and Agra. With a final drop of in Punjab. All the drivers were very experienced, courteous and professional. Manjit who drove us from Agra to Punjab (around 11 hours) was particularly good. My family and I have been using TA for a number of years from custom made tours lasting 7 days to 20 days plus. CEO Manohar of TA has always exceeded our expectations when planning and organising tours in India.
Four of us did a Golden Triangle 5 Day tour with Turban Adventures. The company (In particular Manohar) was very responsive to our queries and easily accommodated changes we wanted. The guides were great (English was good) and our driver was fantastic. The suggested accommodation was also perfect to our need. We couldn't speak highly enough of the whole tour.
I booked a three-week long upscale vacation in June for my family of 4 that was split halfway between South India (Kerala) and North India (Dlehi/Agra/Rajasthan). This was our first time to India.Manohar, our contact in organizing the trip and the owner of the company was very responsive, professional, and helpful in crafting the program and providing feedback. We tweaked the program several times before finalizing. The final program was quite detailed (11 pages). The professionalism and responsiveness were the main reasons I ended up choosing Turban Adventures among other companies. Manohar also checked in with us at various points throughout the trip and we also met him on the second to last day.The overall experience was positive. We enjoyed the trip. The hotels were excellent, as was the transportation which was high-end and air-conditioned. The program overall was to our satisfaction. Our guide Sajjan was quite helpful as well. His English language is not as good as his Hindi and Italian, but he was trying to be as helpful as possible. He even covered most of the tips to others and kept a tab which I paid later in addition to his tip. I appreciated this.In terms of feedback, with benefit of hindsight my daughters told me we could have added a few more interactive experiences for the kids like art workshops instead of just visits and sightseeing. This is more a lesson for me when planning future trips. Also, June is not the most ideal season to visit as the weather in both north and south India (except the mountainous areas) is quite hot. We knew this going in though so no surprises there. Lastly, a bit of extra flexibility would have been nice; we do have a set program but departing from it because my wife prefers to do shopping instead of sticking to the program, for example, would have been appreciated. My implicit understanding was that the car and driver was available all day even if we wanted to depart from the set program which was not the case. It wasn’t a big deal; we just took a private car on those few occasions and I now know to specify this explicitly when planning a trip in the future. To be clear, these were not big issues; I’m just trying to be transparent and balanced in this review. We had not been to India previously and the place is beautiful and rich in both nature and culture. We only scratched the surface in this visit but it was still a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience. I would recommend Turban Adventures to others considering a planned itinerary trip to India. My advice to others reading this review is to heed Manohar’s suggestions when drafting the program because he knows what he’s talking about!
