Frustrating Experience with Installation Challenges

Initially, Windows 11 can function well if the BIOS is updated through the USB Flashback port (the update must be downloaded using another system). However, trying to install Windows 11 on a system with a specific graphics card turned out to be a nightmare. The system failed to boot, despite all diagnostic indicators signaling that everything was fine. An older graphics card was required just to access the BIOS and initiate the Windows 11 installation using the F11 key. Even after successfully installing Windows 11 and the latest drivers for the graphics card, I could not access the BIOS using the designated keys or boot from a USB device. Attempts with an older keyboard and mouse connected to the legacy port were also unsuccessful. After multiple email exchanges with the support team and trying their proposed solutions (which didn't work), I was still unable to get the system to operate properly. After a lengthy wait, I received no further assistance from the support team, who seemed to have abandoned the issue. An expensive failure. Caution advised - not recommended.

Having extreme trouble with this…

Having extreme trouble with this company with regards to redeeming a Steam gift card I should get after buying one of their products. Their customer service staff, though pleasant, seem to be stonewalling my request and sending me round in circles. If they are that desperate NOT to fulfill their obligations, I would suspect that they are facing bankruptcy or something. Totally fed up with them as it stands

Incompatible Z790 PC Motherboard and RTX GPU…

Eventually Windows 11 works well if at first the BIOS is updated via the USB Flashback port (update needs to be downloaded via another PC).However, initially attempting to install Windows 11 on the system with an MSI RTX 3050 Graphic Card installed proved a disaster. The system did not boot even though all the diagnostic LEDS went out confirming all was ok.It needed an older GPU card installed to get into the BIOS and then use the F11 key to launchthe Windows 11 installation. Even after installing Windows 11 and latest RTX 3050 GPU drivers, although Windows 11 boots and runs ok, I still could not access the BIOS via the Delete Key orboot a device (USB) via the F11 key. I even tried using an older keyboard and mouse plugged intothe legacy PS2 port - still no joy. After several exchanges of emails to MSI Uktechsupport, and try their suggested fixes (didn't work),I was still unable to get the system to fully function as needed. After a long wait, no further helpreceived from MSI, who seem to have given up on the problem !!An expensive disaster.BEWARE - not recommended

I am absolutely shocked at the level of…

I am absolutely shocked at the level of support I’ve received from MSI over a monitor that developed a dead pixel almost immediately after purchase. This was an expensive monitor bought for my son, and despite owning countless cheaper screens over the past 25+ years, I’ve never once had a single pixel fault — until I tried MSI.Instead of standing behind their product, MSI hid behind an outdated and completely unreasonable “pixel policy” that effectively tells customers a faulty monitor is acceptable unless several pixels fail. A single stuck pixel near the centre of the screen apparently “meets their specifications”, even though it is clearly defective and distracting. What makes it worse is that MSI simply pushed responsibility back onto the retailer, who in turn refused to help. As a customer, you end up stuck in the middle while MSI avoids taking any meaningful responsibility for the quality of their own product. For a premium-priced brand, this level of customer care is totally unacceptable. I will not be buying MSI products again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before spending their money on a company that refuses to support its customers when something goes wrong.

Top-End Laptop, Bottom-Tier Service - AVOID MSI

Bought an MSI GE78 HX (RTX 4090/i9) for roughly £4,000 when new. A few weeks after the warranty expired it died. MSI’s own diagnosis confirmed a catastrophic board-level hardware failure - burnt PCB laminate, i.e., an internal power/rail fault. That should have triggered a serious, customer-first response. Instead, support became a maze of contradictions and stonewalling.I was told it was “not repairable – no parts,” then offered a €316 repair, then told it was “irreparable, no boards exist,” and finally quoted nearly £2,500 to “repair” it - more than buying a brand-new GE78 today! MSI refused to provide ADR details when asked, repeated “out of warranty” as if that ends the discussion, and leaned on the retailer’s insolvency (Ebuyer) rather than offering the remedy any functioning retailer would escalate upstream to MSI under a normal supply relationship. I raised durability (Consumer Rights Act 2015) because a £4k “premium” laptop should last well beyond two years; MSI essentially acknowledged that if Ebuyer were still trading, this would be the correct route. But instead of acting on this, chose to hide behind Ebuyers insolvency and use it as a get-out-of-jail-free card to not do anything. Untenable! This isn’t premium support; it’s a tactic to wear customers down. When things break, MSI stonewalls, shifts blame, and prices you out. A manufacturer-confirmed internal failure followed by a repair quote higher than a new machine is not support - it’s anti-customer. I won’t touch MSI again, and I’d strongly urge others to avoid being left with an expensive paperweight.

They refuse to sell me a replacement…

They refuse to sell me a replacement part to fix a 1 year old laptop so it's basically junk because of a broken key.

3 products returned - my time wasted

2 motherboards and 1 power supply - all returned. MSI support is very poor. To get any support you need to register and provide a lot of information. The reply to any communication you have to sign in again. The support they provide is useless and a waste of my time. The motherboard has extensive features to provide data on issues - but interestingly MSI's problem solving doesn't refer to these, but uses the old method of taking all the non-essential components out and try to boot, adding items until the faulty component is found. If this old fashion method of fault finding doesn't work all they have to offer is to return the products. MSI advised that they don't deal with returns - they advised me to contact the retailer. Luckily that was Amazon - and they were very good. I never want to deal with MSI again. They have wasted 50 hours of my time with faulty components and very poor support.

Hmm msi :/

Out of 3 products , 1 of them are seeming to malfunction. Contacted customer service via web ticket, i cannot believe how long its taking them to even respond back, its been over a week that including the first web ticket submitted. managed to get one email on friday 5th sept 2025,followed their advice, responded back to them on the same day. Just yesterday i got a response back and that was on Thursday 11th sept 2025, I assume ill have to wait another few more days to get a response. I was thinking of purchasing a gpu from them but after this i dont think i would want to consider due to my current experience with them.

Bought a MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi…

Bought a MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi motherboard system for which I needed support or assistance. Their customer service is extremely slow to respond, don't answer specific questions and suggest remedies which proves they have not read the reported problem. Very poor service indeed, wished I had have bought the ASRock system.
