Over the last 6 months, I’ve been training at Universal Skills Group, Wakefield to complete my ACS and MOCOPA. Every member of staff within the centre has been a massive help in supporting my journey. My tutor, Adam Brook, has been the ideal tutor - mixing classroom work nicely with practical work to create an enjoyable learning experience. I wouldn’t have been able to get through it without his support.
I have been an apprentice at universal skills group in Wakefield for 6 months as a smart meter apprentice. I came into this knowing nothing at all, but felt reassured, engaged and saw my confidence grow with the help and support from the staff. Professional set up with fantastic staff who are always there to assist and help, with a big shout out to Adam B who was an amazing tutor!
An excellent and productive week with Michael Cotton. 3phase training. The centre is overall a great centre and the content was delivered impeccably well by Michael. All questions were heard and cleared up well with several demonstrations if necessary. The learning environment was indeed well balanced which is important when you genuinely want to gain something from the course. I left with great satisfaction and confidence with 3phase knowledge and also left with a good understanding of 2 rate contacting and other areas we already work in. Our centre and staff in Wakefield have over 30 years experience in the training industry. Our specialist training facility in Wakefield is outfitted with bespoke gas and power workshops to help develop both practical skills and present learners with a wide range of scenarios that they may be faced with when working out in the field. This is encapsulated most in our indoor street aptly named the ‘Electric Avenue’. We also have a number of classrooms use for theory based learning and assessments.
