The marketing team and the 'scientists' have seemingly found another method to increase profits for the parent company. After quietly decreasing the pouch size from 100g to 85g a few years back, they've now managed to reduce the solid content in the pouch, allowing the gravy to compensate for the weight.
The marketing team and product developers have once again found a way to increase profits at the expense of customers. After quietly reducing the pouch size from 100g to 85g a few years back, they've now managed to decrease the solid content while using gravy to compensate for the weight.
The price for this product was £5 for a box of 12 packets of 100g, but now it's the same price for 12 packets of just 85g. I contacted the company for an explanation and was told it was to comply with environmental issues. This seems like a poor excuse for a company trying to take advantage of customers. I've stopped buying it and now my cats enjoy healthier options.
I have 6 cats, and they used to enjoy this food without issues. However, after the recent changes in ingredients and packaging, I tried it again and it seems to contain food dye. The cats refuse to eat it now. The price has also skyrocketed, from £3.89 for 6 tins to nearly £8.50 for the same amount. I've started making their food from scratch, and they seem much happier.
