I paid for in April 2023. Booked around 16 flights. Over last 3 years. But all were cancelled due to weather. The days I've taken off annual leave and we also booked a couple of hotels..trying different areas. To me. didn't seem worth it. Wish I would have researched it a bit more. I applied for a refund as my partner now unable to fly due to medical reasons. I could have transferred to someone else. But just decided to cut my losses and I didn't want hassle of person I sold it to blaming me for cancelled flights
Office staff were great. Processed my refund on the same day. Received in my bank account within a few hours
Worth remembering. you need to book at least 4 flights within a year of purchasing. so your eligible to have your booking extended for another year

How is this company allowed to trade?!? You get 12 months to book a flight. 6 of those months are non flying months(convenient!). The rest of the time, there are insufficient dates available. Oh also, your ability to get flown is 100% outside of your hands, as you will be told the day before that - oh guess what - the weather is unsuitable for flying. You will then be asked to rebook. But! Trap card - the company now says you are outside of your voucher’s validity period despite the fact that you haven’t flown or been able to amend your booking. Upon trying to now book another date, they then conveniently say you technically owe them money to extend past the original 12 months. I wish my mum had simply given me money for that birthday. And to all you future victims of Wicker World, you have my sympathies. If you are considering purchasing a flight on Wicker World for your loved ones, I suggest writing them a cheque instead- it would be simpler to cash a cheque in 2026 than to book a flight with these shysters.
we tried 8 times to have this experience and finally gave up after the 8th attempt. Many of the cancellations were due to weather which is why I scored this 2 stars rather than one. The issue was the staff who made it feel like it was our fault for not trying hard enough to rebook . We finally gave up when we were informed that they would be charging us an extra fee for what we had already paid for and not received. I am sure the experience would have been great if we had actually received it
Enjoyed every Minute. Andrew the Pilot was Great. Explained everything in Detail.The whole thing was Amazing. The Landing was Great thanks to the Expert Pilot.My Son & I Couldn't wait for our Certificates. We had a 2 & half Journey Home. My Son had work at 6 in the Morning.I would Advise anyone to Go up it Really is Amazing.Thankyou Wickers World.
If I could rate less than 1 star I would. We booked 6 times in total and wasn't able to get a flight due to weather which I understand is nobody's fault. However as I have only tried to book twice due to already taking 6 days unpaid off work in the last few months they have said it's no longer valid. And I've lost all the money I paid. Honestly I wouldn't bother trying to get a flight with them it's more hassle than it's worth.Oh and the lady that was emailing me is snotty just stating that other people understand that's things gets cancelled because of the weather - YES I GET THAT.But what other costs have you occurred - none. Basically this company just robs people's money
This is a bit of a marmite experience depending upon whether you get away on your first date or not (as you pick up from the other reviews)So the good bit - the flight is really good when you get to experience it. I flew from Cheshire & Jon is a very informative pilot who talks you through everything very clearly, including what you are flying over. We even managed a very soft landing :)The not so good bit - if you don't get away on your chosen date, then you have to rebook. I ended up flying on my 20th attempt ! (but quite a few on the flight were on their first, so it is very much up to luck). That stretched over 2.5 years (one of the other fliers was up to 4 years, but that was impacted by Covid). You may become an expert on all the reasons why a flight cannot go ahead - there are many of them.My view is that you have to be very lucky, or you need to be retired/very flexible on your availability to get a flight in a reasonable time window. If you go ahead, then choose a morning flight (more likely to fly due to wind conditions & more importantly, you find out the day before whether the flight will go ahead - if you have an afternoon flight you may well waste the day if it doesn't go ahead)So overall, I'm glad I persevered & did it; but I wouldn't recommend booking unless you are retired/have good availability for potentially numerous attempts.
Had a fantastic flight over Derbyshire this morning 20/06/2024 the views were amazing the pilot was very informative and kept us informed,everything from safety to everything we could see below all the ground crew were very friendly even the company dog everyone helped out which made for a great experience and new friends made the crew even transported us back to our carsThanks again Paul and Karen
Do not use this company. I paid over £300 in total and over the last few years haven’t been able to get a booking. The lady when I spoke to her the other end even said there were many others calling up with the same issue. With covid then covid backlog then actually getting availability on their site around work and family as those spots go quickly. I even paid extra at that point to be able to use it at weekends and still nothing. Not to mention when I did book it kept being cancelled. I finally found an ideal time next month and they have told me my voucher has expired and I have to pay a further £100 if I want to use it. I’m very very upset. I’m not one to usually complain but this is a joke and the lady was very rude to me the other end
