Ok the company's shipping equipment wasn't working correctly and my order was sent to wrong address, I can understand that.Once I contacted Bulkfoods.com and explained my situation, They promptly expedited my order and it was at my door ASAP.I would say that was an excellent costumer service experience and am very happy with their choices of hard to find natural ingredients that are needed to prepare a variety of ethnic foods and foods for people on medical regulated diets which I specialize in.Great selection at reasonable prices!Will use them again and recommend!
I have looked everywhere for Mint LINDOR Chocolate Truffles (the ones with the white mint center). I found them here by tapping on a Google picutre of them and it took me to this site. I took a chance and ordered a pound and used the cheapest shipping (bulk, I think). I got them in 3 days and they were in perfect condition and they look fresh.The only reason that I didn't give a '5' is that I don't think these are manufactured anymore and there wasn't any indication anywhere on the date. I wouldn't even thot to have looked for one if there weren't so many people complaining about worms and stuff. I wouldn't order any type of grains or such. These were individually wrapped.
I've purchased large amounts of emergency food in 2009 I put in storage having vacuum packed them and again recently for the same purpose. All of the foods I've bought don't taste very good at all. After a gluten free fruit and nut cereal and fruit granola tasted really bad (they used sulfur dioxide in one of them) I thought it was a fluke, that is until I tasted their chicken soup base. The powder was full of so much salt, 260 mgs and I had only put 1 1/4 teaspoon based on directions into a cup of water to sample it. It was horrific and inexcusable. I will never ever purchase food from these people again and I'm very serious about how bad an experience it has been.
Minus 5-stars for Bulkfoods.com & 8-4 hours are bizarre!CS reps have an attitude & could care less about being responsive!Products are outstanding though, so worth a look - note other negative reviews about customer service.
If you want quality cashews or quality customer service, you may not be happy with these people.
When my $107 order of 15 lbs of "Extra Large" Cashews arrived, I opened one of the 5-lb bags without disputing the definition of "Extra Large" and found the oily taste so overwhelming, I could hardly taste cashew due to the burnt oily taste. Fpr 1/4 the price I could have bought better tasting peanuts.
Maybe they were roasted in peanut oil as the label states, but the main taste was like spoiled or overheated vegetable oil. Maybe it was spoiled or overheated peanut oil; I'm no expert in bad oily tastes.
My email to customer "service" at vip at bulkfoods.com received no reply, but I bet BulkFoods is knowledgeable in bad oily tastes.
Bulk Foods had a special low price, which probably made me decide to order from them rather than a quality site I've used named Sunnyland that charges about 50% more.
After tasting these I looked at internet postings by customers dissatisfied in Bulk Food products or weak customer service, which I wish I had done before losing $107 for 15 lbs of crap.
I have ordered from them twice with no problems. Most recently was late yesterday afternoon - I placed my order and now have it in hand this morning before 10:30 AM. Order is correct and candy looks to be in good condition. Prices were much better than other online candy companies and they have a $5 flat ship rate for orders over $75. Other online candy companies had much higher shipping rates and slower delivery. Thanks, bulkfoods.com!
When I first saw thier website I couldn't believe thier prices and all the variety they had in prodcuts. I thought to myself this has to be too good to be true! Not only was I amazed at how terrrific thier prices were I also recieved my order very fast and it was recieved in perfect condition. It had to be shipped the same day I placed the order. Not only was the prodcut how I expected but everything was so fresh and delicous. I can't wait to place another order! BulkfoodsDOTcom is truley a terrific company thier prices are amazing, they have a great variety of products, and the quality of the products is excelltent as well. I will defanitly tell my family and friends about this company.
I ordered dried coconut and Medjool dates from Bulk Foods to make homemade granola, and I was so surprised to see all the options they have. They even have dried fruit without sulfur or added sugar for those of us trying to follow a healthy diet. Thank you! -Angela
I wish I could give them a lower rating than one star. A problem came up with the shipper so I contacted bulkfoods about correcting it but the teenager who answered my phone stated 'we can't do anything about that'. I attempted to fix it will UPS on my own but they said it had to be done by the originator of the package. I called back bulkfoods and was told 'only our e-mail people contact UPS'. but as they only open e-mails from tues-friday my daughter didn't get her christmas present this year. Thanks Bulkfoods.com. I will make sure that I never use you and I encourage others not to as well.
Each Christmas our company sends gift tins to each employee. I was able to get all the gift tins we needed from Bulk Foods, and they even let me choose what items I wanted in each tin! Not only is the selection great, but the tins are beautiful.
