ENG:I deeply value GoPillar and the concept behind it. When it launched, it felt like a brilliant, innovative way to connect designers and clients from around the world. The dynamic it offers, the challenges, and the opportunities it provides are powerful. It truly is (or was) a great system.However, there are some serious issues that can no longer be ignored—particularly the unlimited contest extensions. I’m not asking for rigidity, but rather for clear and fair limits. Two extensions per contest, up to 360 days, would be understandable. But I’ve personally seen contests extended 4 or 5 times. In one case, for a project in Singapore, the platform even allowed an extension after the official deadline, based on votes in the forum. It felt disorganized and unfair. This happened again with a sports center competition around the same period but was not aproved.The worst part was not even the extension itself, but the cynical response I received when I raised my concerns. That final line from support felt like a passive-aggressive “if you don’t like it, leave,” which shuts down any possibility of honest feedback. Since then, I’ve reviewed other 1-star ratings and was shocked by how aggressive and dismissive the platform's responses were. As a company, GoPillar should remember that its reputation was built by designers and clients who trusted the process.Another issue is the declining quality and fairness of prizes. It’s hard to justify entering competitions that offer €130 to €500 total for full renovation concepts, especially when that prize is split among 5 winners. Meanwhile, GoPillar charges a substantial fee to clients for launching these contests. You can verify this by simulating a competition launch and seeing how much it costs. This isn't bad, it's perfect, but then they can't allow prizes for projects with multiple orders to total €130, €200, or €500.Yes, the platform looks better now—visually. But functionally, it has noticeably worsened: login issues, clunky contest applications, difficulties reviewing submissions, downloads with errors… The platform isn’t more efficient—it’s just prettier.All of this makes me sad, because I truly care about GoPillar. I don’t want it to fail. But the reality I came back to after almost a year of pause was shocking. The decline is real, and it’s been echoed by many other designers—not just me. I’m not asking for perfection, only for respect, transparency, and real listening. Without that, even the best ideas lose their value.I hope my review is taken seriously—for the good of the whole community.
Great experience. I could not have had this level architectural insight and work completed anywhere else for twice the fee. Because you can literally see the prior projects nd the results, it gives you confidence that yours will be similar. Our results are fantastic. We will likely do this for futher minute interior design or patio design.
My experience with the Gopillar team was satisfactory. They were very helpful while I was building my personal page on the platform, and they guided me on expressing my requirements in a clear and effective way. Any issues that occurred were due to missing details on my part, therefore, I strongly recommend being precise and provide the architects with as many details as possible. Despite that, I received some very interesting projects and lots of inspiration. The architects were very efficient and some of them produced high quality renderings.
I am a computer engineer, and my wife is an architect who has participated in several competitions. In this review, I will evaluate GoPillar from the perspective of an experienced software developer.**System and Website: 5/5** The website and user interface (UI) are well-designed and user-friendly. Files can be uploaded and viewed quickly. Overall, they have a very professional system compared to other similar platforms. Small details, such as the remaining time indicator, make users feel they are working with a serious and professional platform. The premium membership system works well as well; you only compete with professional architects on high-quality projects. This ensures that the project files are complete and allows you to learn from the work of other architects. However, there is a big problem with the payment system, which I will explain separately.**Communication: 1/5** Even as a premium member, she couldn’t get any response through any communication channels. If you're lucky, you might get a reply to your emails after a week.**Payment System: 2/5** Payments can only be made through PayPal. It’s surprising that such a professional platform only offers one payment method. Since PayPal is not available in Turkey, she couldn’t receive the rewards for several competitions she won. However, the membership fee is automatically deducted from her bank account. While there are other payment methods for receiving money, there are no alternatives for payouts. Even though she provided quotes from PayPal’s own website, they insist that PayPal works in Turkey and ask her to open a new account. When she requested other payment options, she was given vague responses like "we are working on it, but it may take months."

It made me realise how powerful it is to open your project to multiple minds — it really gives you fresh perspectives.Also, the platform is super easy to use, and the GoPillar team was there to support me the entire way. I never felt lost or ignored, which is rare in online services.As someone who works in branding and marketing, I can say GoPillar is a great resource if you want smart, professional and creative solutions without the overwhelm. I’ve already recommended it to a few friends and colleagues.Definitely coming back for my next project! 🙌
The prizes are too low given the demands of some projects, and GoPillar makes it difficult (90days+) to withdraw if you're not a premium designer. They want to use a designer's image, resume and experience to build their site, and given the low prices, it sets a bad precedent for clients to expect cheap work from you in real life.
