Just exchanged on our new house which is due to be finished in the autumn time. We’ve had an amazing experience with the sales executive Lindsey so far. She is cheerful and friendly, keeps us up to date and has made the buying process feel like a breeze :) She is always happy to see us and talk through anything on our minds. From start to finish, our experience been nothing short of exceptional due to the Sales Consultant Kyle Jarvis at Snibston Mill Development. He has has been incredibly professional, supportive, and genuinely amazing throughout the entire process of buying our new home. No request was ever too much trouble, he was always there to help, and always with a smile on his face.
What truly sets him apart is his commitment to going above and beyond. If something couldn’t be resolved immediately, he never left us wondering; he always came back with a solution. His communication was clear, honest, and reassuring at every stage, which made what can be a stressful process feel smooth and manageable.
He is thoughtful, truthful, and takes real pride in his work. We always felt supported and confident knowing we were in such capable hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better sales assistant and would highly recommend St Modwen to anyone looking to buy a home . An absolute credit to his profession.
Lived on our development for 8 months. Fire alarms on neighbouring unoccupied plots keep going off and are left overnight, so residents can’t sleep.You ring the emergency number and nothing happens. You message the site manager and nothing happens. You email customer care and nothing happens.I genuinely think that if one of the unoccupied plots burnt down on a Friday night, they wouldn’t notice until Monday morning. The site is also not secure.Also, 8 months in and still loads of snags.If you dare raise a complaint, you get ignored until they have conducted “investigations” into why they are so useless.
My husband and I visited the sales hub for Woodcroft Park. Lindsey was absolutely fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgable about the site, the build stage, the local area, and the wider development site. She gave a great overview of the houses on offer on the development. It’s a shame there isn’t a show home available yet, but I’ll be straight over as soon as they are ready.
From the start of our buying our forever home journey has just been amazing Claire and Lauren have been the best keeping us updated at every stage of our process. They are both a credit to you team, we can't thank them enough for everything they have done for us. Caroline where do I even start, she has been nothing short of incredible!! She really really is a credit to the team. She has been at the end of phone if I've needed a moan, a cry (there has been a lots of tears), advice shes been there. She is just amazing we wouldn't of been in our new home now without her chasing constantly she is just amazing. Thank you so much Caroline!!
Joanne was very helpful and enthusiastic about the homes to be built and the site. She gave us lots of information about the area.I liked that she showed us examples of the kind of options for kitchens and tiling etc that were included in the basic house specifications.
I moved into my St Modwen house at the Glan Lyn site about 10 months ago! The sales team (Simon, Paula & Toni) were all really helpful throughout the purchase. And Josh and his team have been amazing since I moved in! They all go that extra mile to make the whole experience as smooth and problem free as possible 😊
We brought our new build with St Mowdens in Swansea.Our experience has been fantastic.Really happy with the quality of the development.The after sales experience has been amazing as well.They took care of us even after handover.We were pleasantly surprised with the after sales service.Special mention to Elaine,Amie,Phil and Stewart for their patience and support with the home buying process.Your help has made the whole moving process much more simpler for us.Would highly recommend St Mowdens.
Lived on the estate for just over two years. A few issues have arisen and been resolved by St Modwen, but since they sold to Miller Holmes you don't even get a acknowledgement of email's, messages sent. 7th October 25 - Facebook message sent (St Modwen business chat), no response9th October 25 - Email sent (hocs at stmodwen), no response28th November 25 - Email sent (nwcustomercare at stmodwenhomes), no responseCouncil won't adopt the estate due to the state of the roads so now we are stuck in limbo with an estate which is slowly being left to rot.Issues ignored.......- broken street lights, - fence falling over next to the park, - drains full of last year and this years leaves- weeds growing through the pavements- weeds growing in the gutters- overgrown pathsTerrible, terrible non existent customer service
Communication from the very beginning has been quite inconsistent and often vague. While I understand that the merger between St. Modwen homes and Miller homes may have contributed to some disruption; we had still expected a higher level of communication and attention, particularly as our purchase sat between the two organisations during the process. I would have thought that customers like us, that bought between the merger would have been more carefully considered. We also feel that this process has not been entirely fair, and at times we have been rushed to complete important steps. For example, we were only given one day's notice for our first fit appointment, which meant that neither myself or my partner could attend. We were assured that photos or a video of the appointment would be provided, but we have still not received these. This is consistent with the wider issue of the IT system, to which we have never had access to throughout the process. And for reference, we have only been called in for our home demo/snagging on the 8 of December, which we feel is quite close to our completion day on the 12 of December. We're hoping that this does not delay our completion day further. Our most pressing concern, has been the specification of the house itself. We discovered by many of our swing-by's that the property was not being built to the specification originally shown to us by Mercedes. Although we are grateful that this has since been resolved and that the house will be and has been built to correct specification shown, it is worrying that this discrepancy was not communicated to us. Had we not raised these issues, nor been aware that changes had been made without our knowledge, we would have been purchasing a home that differed significantly from what we had agreed to buy. Overall, this process has been far from ideal. We do understand that there have been challenges on your side, but we're disappointed with how several aspects have been handled. Despite this, we're looking forward to finally moving into our new homes, and we would welcome a further discussion to see whether anything further can be resolved or if any compensation may be appropriate given the circumstances. If it even more disappointing that even now after we have moved into the property that St Modwen continue to do a terrible job. Having been promised that we would get a visit from the customer care team to address any snagging issues, it has now be 1.5 months and we have had no correspondence from anyone regarding this. Very disappointing and would not recommend St Modwen to my worst enemy.
