It didn’t felt like a tour, it felt like friends visiting friends.
Comfy acommodations, delicious local food, yoga classes and hikes with beautiful scenery and waterfalls.
Nick had everything perfectly planned so you can connect with the nature and yourself, and don’t have to worry about anything, just to enjoy the trip.
I will definitely travel with him again.
I stumbled across Yogiwhale while looking to visit Costa Rica for the first time, and although I was initially a little nervous (I haven’t done a fully guided tour since I was a kid) I’m so glad I took the chance and signed up. The first thing that hooked me was the varied mix of activities, yoga, excursions, and locations. However, it quickly became clear I had struck yogi traveler gold as our tour got underway; the attention to detail, the balance of activity and rest, the variety of local experts and guides, restaurants, accommodations, and all the gorgeous sites we visited. Everything felt well chosen and we were in good hands across the entire trip. There was respect for the environment, local economies and cultures. I never felt like a trampling tourist, And when we did find ourselves participating in the more popular attractions with other tourists, we seemed to move quickly through the lines, our passes already taken care of, or arriving at the perfect time to beat the crowds entirely. Everything was made easy for us, allowing me to really relax into the vacation & enjoy the breadth of experiences Costa Rica has to offer. Yogiwhale knows exactly what they’re doing and I’m so grateful I took that chance! 10 out of 5 stars!

Our 13-day yoga-inspired journey with Nick from Yogiwhale through Costa Rica was nothing short of transformative—a really special mix of adventure, restoration, and connection.From the start, Nick's itinerary felt well balanced. We had plenty of time to explore, but also space to slow down and actually take it all in. The yoga practices were a huge part of that. Practicing in those natural settings—jungle, ocean, open air—just hits differently. Morning sessions felt energizing and clear, and the evening practices helped everything settle.The waterfalls were incredible. Each one had its own feel—some powerful and energizing, others more quiet and grounding. They gave us time to reset, cool off, do some cliff jumping or just be present.Glamping in La Fortuna was a highlight. Being that close to Arenal, falling asleep to the sounds of the rainforest—it felt immersive without giving up comfort. Just a really unique experience.Manuel Antonio brought a completely different energy. The beaches were beautiful, the ocean warm and gentle and wildlife was everywhere.Puerto Viejo was the perfect way to finish. Slower pace, great local culture, Caribbean vibe—it helped everything integrate instead of just rushing home after a packed trip.A big part of what made the experience so good was Nick Whaley, our guide and yoga teacher. He was amazing—steady, knowledgeable, and very real in how he led everything. Nothing felt forced or overly polished. He created space for people to have their own experience while still holding the group together, which isn’t easy to do.Overall, this trip never felt rushed, but we still experienced a lot. It felt intentional without being rigid. More than anything, it gave me a chance to step out of routine, reconnect, and come back feeling reset.I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful mix of travel, yoga, and time to actually slow down.

This was far more than a holiday — it was a beautifully curated, deeply meaningful experience from beginning to end.What I loved most was the incredible variety and depth of the yoga sessions. Every class was completely different, thoughtfully created, and offered something unique. It wasn’t just about yoga; it was also about breath, presence, self-reflection, and genuine inner work. The experience felt emotional, grounding, and deeply enriching.One of the most special touches was the beautifully prepared journal/workbook. It was so much more than an information guide — it was a thoughtful companion throughout the journey, filled with practical details as well as inspiring prompts and suggestions for personal reflection and inner work. That element added so much value and made the whole trip feel even more intentional.Everything was exceptionally well organised, always on time, and clearly planned with great care. The places selected were stunning, and I especially appreciated the connection with local businesses, which made the experience feel authentic, conscious, and even more memorable.You can truly feel the heart, thought, and dedication behind every detail. A genuinely special experience that I would highly recommend.
I have just completed the Costa Rica tour/yoga with Yogiwhale and can honestly say it has been brilliant. The three different styles of accommodation - jungle, glamping and homestay in three different areas really enhanced the experience. Costa Rica is naturally beautiful but Nick had selected the very best to show us. His local knowledge meant we didn't waste any time and managed to see and experience so much for which I am very grateful. Nick is a great leader, his organisational skills exceptional and paced the tour and optional yoga to suit all. A fabulous way to see the real Costa Rica with an easy going leader.
