Review Time
ySense promotes itself as a transparent and reliable rewards site, but my experience over the years, since the days when it was still called ClixSense, has been the opposite, and it has clearly gotten worse over time.
Survey payments have dropped to just a few cents even for surveys that last 20 to 30 minutes or more. The balance between time spent and reward is basically gone. But the biggest issue is that more and more often, after fully completing a long survey, you get disqualified or receive no credit during the final redirect back to ySense because they say they did not receive confirmation from the provider.
It is hard not to question this when the technical problems seem to happen after all questions are answered. The user provides time, effort, and personal opinions, but if their system or the survey company’s tracking fails, the user loses everything. This happens far too often to feel like a rare or isolated issue.
Support no longer really solves problems. They send standard copy and paste replies saying they understand the frustration but cannot manually credit the survey. In the past, they sometimes reviewed screenshots as proof of completion. Now it feels like ySense avoids responsibility and leaves all the risk on the user.
In one case, support even sent me a link to an article about offers tracking, even though my problem was clearly about surveys. That made it seem like they were not really reading the case and were just sending generic information that did not apply.
They also encourage users to keep trying, but when failures happen this often, continuing just feels like risking more unpaid time. At this point, it feels more like a lottery than a fair system.
I also think part of the problem is that many overly positive reviews online may come from people focused on referrals, which can give newcomers the impression that everything works smoothly, when the reality with surveys is very different.
In the end, the market research companies still get data, the platform avoids responsibility, and the user who spent 30 to 60 minutes can end up with nothing.
I would not recommend this as a serious or reliable way to earn money anymore. It has become more frustration than reward.
This company is an absolute scam, you answer all the questions for hours and hours, and then they redirect you back to the home page saying "That survey was not a good fit for you, heres a better one," They're making you do surveys for free, telling you they'll give u money, but in reality they're getting your answers but they arent giving u any money, DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE, IT IS ABSOLUTELY TRASH, they exploit you by getting your answers and claiming they'll give you money, but no, they do not.
I've been with ysense for 7 years. I've never had any problems with this company. Whenever an issue arose, it was usually resolved to my satisfaction. My opinion changed a few days ago. I made an offer for 50, and they didn't credit me even though I met all the requirements. So I contacted customer service and sent them a screenshot as proof that I completed the offer. Their response was, "Unfortunately, in this case, we didn't receive the required event completion signals (also called "tracking") from our external partners, which we rely on to award points for completed activities. We don't know the exact reason for the external tracking failure, and in such a situation, we can't manually award points."
And in this case, it became clear that ysense and its partners were cheating, lying, and exploiting.
Therefore, my rating for this company can only be 1 star.
My overall experience has been average. I don’t like that withdrawals can only be sent in $5 increments; it would be much better if users could withdraw any amount starting from $5 and above, as this would provide more flexibility.
Additionally, the processing time is quite slow, and the commission deducted by ySense is high, which means you end up receiving less than expected.
I believe that improving these points—more flexible withdrawal amounts, faster processing times, and fairer fees—would greatly improve the user experience.
While some surveys function properly, the majority do not. Even after completing a survey, there's no assurance of payment—about one in three will either fail to load at the conclusion or redirect you to another site, leaving you unpaid. The customer support is extremely poor; they either don't respond or dismiss your concerns. Overall, a very disappointing experience with the service.
I received a confirmation email stating that my $15 PayPal redemption request was acknowledged. The rewards typically take 2-3 days, but can sometimes take up to 10 days to arrive. As of now, I can't provide a complete review since I haven't finished the process and have not received my rewards yet.
